TM vsr-10 question

hello ! I have bought a brand new Marui vsr-10! I've made a little Teflon mod at the bucking and a spacer mod for the barrel ! when I have no hop up at all sometimes a bb is rolling out of the barrel! like if I've put a little notch that's ok and no bb is rolling out! fps seem constant. So this is my question: do i need to worry about that or its normal ?????????? ( I've read that all g-spec have that kind of problem when no hop up is applied :/ just want to be sure that nothing was messed up when I've made those little modifications :)

It's normal, and you would never shoot without hop-up in a normal situation anyway. It's not a problem, it's a feature.

That happens on some guns, where if you don't have any hop applied the BB can roll out of the barrel.

Why would you be using it with no hop on anyway?

Having the hop turned on prevents the bb from rolling out.
If the hopup is off, nothing is there to prevent the bb from rolling out.
Its normal.

to test the real fps ( with no hop up at all )

like I've said the bolt action world is pretty new for me! since an AEG don't do that, I was a little bit worry ! when I test my gun, I like to put no hop up at all

I've seen my share of AEGs and GBB that did that at minimum hop-up too. It's not just bolt actions.

There's no point in testing the "real" FPS, you will always play with hop-up on, and in some cases, applying hop will actually increase FPS.

Why would that matter? You wouldn't use no hopup in a game. Test FPS with hop set properly.

technically you should get better fps with the hop on a bit obviously at some point there is a reduction but if the bb can just roll out itll not provide optimal compression.
A bit of retention of the bb should make for more efficent air seal at the start of the cycle that bit of "back pressure" if you will lets the piston O ring expand nicely.

ThunderCactus April 6th, 2017 23:13

It goes both ways. Energy can increase or decrease with hop on

skamp666 April 8th, 2017 09:26

that what my local field require to test our airsoft gun .... that kind of why I always did that !!! And in over 45 + aeg none of mine have ever done that with no hop up. Since in 6 years that the first time I noticed a BB rolling out is that normal for me to ask some question about it ?? no ??

ThunderCactus April 8th, 2017 14:38

Just because the hopup is off, doesnt mean it's not protruding into the barrel at all.
