OK so I found this cheap spring shotgun lying around, so I painted it up, just for some experience, and to see how I may want to paint my sniper when I get around to getting it... Nothing special but anyways..

If I may, there's no 553 there, it's a 551. As for the masking, looks pretty much like pre cut masking tape that was put there kinda randomly. For the texture, depending on how you use the can and how you control the distance, flow and thickness, you can get that effect (my MRE is like that). Or it's really just a lot of noise in the picture hehe.
