Screwed my buddy and he's still waiting for compensation

Been over a year now, he traded my buddy his SCAR L (busted) for his ICS AKS-74u (working). The EoTech had a cracked lens, grip pod was broken, the stock on the scar was broken and seals on all grenades where blown. Both agreed to $500 of insurance with Canada Post and my buddy still has not received any compensation a year later . WTF? I would not suggest doing business with this individual, and this is not the first time this has been done.
