It's actually completely illegal in china.
but no one in china gives a damn about laws.
Laws are worth the same as the people who are willing to take bribes.
which is pretty much everyone. Low wage people do low, low things.

Most of the stuff you asked, common sense should have came to the rescue. Apparently not.
Relax I'm new, I wasn't born with knowledge on all this airsoft topics. Sorry I like to ask so many questions. Please tell me how I could possibly learn more about the airsoft world without asking. Sure researching other people's questions but that makes them less intelligent too no?

As much as I love airsoft, I gotta say the pros of Canada far outweigh the cons.

Negative comments aren't going to help, more of spam to. Ya I'm shocked by the price value of a gun....... But honestly I know shit about this sport. I only heard about it in the summer. Read the rules of this part of the forum first than post. I actually thought people in this sport had some decency and respect. I guess not. Well I got my answer, didn't expect this long_bong I doubt I'll be around here anytime soon

Don't let the riff raff stop you from checking out airsoft. Also don't base your opinion of the hobby on the online actions of a few, check out the other areas, the FAQ and understand that due to airsoft's position in Canada you will run into many people that are very passionate about it.

Golden rule is to do as much research about airsoft as you can on your own. It shows a genuine interest and a sense of responsibility to the community.

or the best thing to do is visit a game, most of the older players tend to like answering question better in person than on the computer we get very cranky when we are in front of the lcd screen

The reason I was pushing for that TM P90 in the other thread was that in Canada the cost from an ECHO model is negligeable, as well as much more reliable.

I found a thread that may serve to offer a lot of information that is related to this threads topic.

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=57256

Its the gun buyer blues thread, it is stickied in the top of the newbie tank area. Not like anyone actually looks there.

Dude you should check out The Pit. There's SERIOUS flaming in there. What Skladfin mentioned is the opinion of one person, and he put it mildly at that. Just ignore it. One person on the internet shouldn't ruin your experience of ANYTHING.

Look, buddy, I apologize if I offended you in anyway. But you need to know that you can do FAQ research yourself.

When you post in one of my threads asking "What if I dress all black like a Ninja", I can't help but think that you're not trying very hard think about the subject before asking, I'm sure many can agree.

And dont be so sensitive. If seeing an asshole like me write three sentences going against your mindset on an internet forum gives you the idea of hating on a sport, you will be surprised to see what kind of guys are out there when you actually start playing.

Not everyone is going to treat you like you deserve every sense of the word respect until you earn it. Some will trash talk at you, some will plain just hate on you, and they won't even try to keep their shit down like I do. Of course most people will treat you with respect and descency, but don't act like you always deserve it, it's earned, not given.

A few non-flaming but blunt observations.

If you go onto another website that's based outside of Canada you will find the very same "it's too expensive", "that's not worth the money", "what's the best cheap AEG" type threads. That leads me to remember a joke so old that maybe it's not told anymore, so I'll tell it here.

Billy: What's life?
Voice: Life is a magazine.
Billy: How much does it cost?
Voice: Ten cents.
Billy: But I only have a nickel.
Voice: That's life.

High price is the rule for airsoft in Canada. In Australia it's flat out impossible to get the gear. In New Zealand everything has to be semi auto only. Other countries have other tacit or overt regulations that set the tone.

The high price in Canada does keep the dabblers and otherwise less commited to the activity folks away, for good and bad. Each really enthusiastic new player turned off by the high price is in the same company as many more backyarders who much to their frustration can't get a key to the castle.

To sum up the price of entry is high and there's no way around it unless you have a parent or friend who'll lend you gear to get your feet wet with. I think the payoff is worth the investment. Some folks won't, but that's Life.
