Action LW Silencer WONT fit on Kraken?!

Hey guys. I bought a cheap silencer from Airsoft Parts, and it wont fit on my kraken. I took the orange tip off the kraken.

http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1463

Thats the silencer there, says it has
250mm L x 30mm W
14mm CCW and 14mm CW thread
Foam filled

If it has both threadings, why wont it fit on my krakens tip? The kraken has threading on the tip. I've tried both sides of the silencer also.

EDIT: Nevermind. I never thought I'd have to twist and push so goddam hard to get that thing on the threading. Wow.

Well, did you try turning both sides of the silencer in both directions? CW turns on righty tighty, CCW turns on lefty tighty.

Haha fair enough. Well glad you got it.

Doesn't surprise me though. The kraken's tolerances are a little bit off.

You might have destroyed the threading...

Nope its fine. Just checked.

One problem with this silencer, its foam filled. Theres no inner barrel in the silencer. Its just peices of foam inside a metal shell that have a hole cut in them for the BB to travel through. Wow.

Most silencers are like that. If not all. You have to buy your own longer inner barrel that goes the length through it.

Inner barrel "extensions" have never EVER worked.

of course..... you weren't expecting it to have some sort of inner barrel would you? =.=
you are suppose to buy another whole, longer inner barrel.

WTF? They have been always like that.

People use longer inner barrel for increased accuracy and velocity, and that it sticks passed their barrels so they shove a silencer on to cover it.

Hmm. Never knew that. Would it be fine not to buy the inner barrell for it?

Also, when I fire it with the silencer on, the gun seems to shoot out less air than it does with the silencer off. Is that normal?

(Not a lot less. Just a little. Ofcourse, its also more quiet.)

The foam is what makes it actually "work" as a silencer (as much as that's possible with an AEG); without the foam, your silencer becomes an airsoft-actuated bell.

EDIT: Yes, that's normal; the silencer is containing expanding gasses, so-to-speak, much as a real one would do.

Yes its fine without a longer barrel. Just for looks at that point.

And you might notice that since it dissipates some of the air force coming out of the barrel in the length of foam. It won't change your fps or anything, dont worry.
