Best Sniper Rifle...

Hi, I'm looking for the best sniper rifle for $300 dollars or less. It has to be bolt action, because I can't stand gas powered ones. I'd prefer it to be very accurate, because I care about accuracy more than power. So, which is the best bolt-action sniper rifle I can buy for $300 dollars or less?

'Liberty (Also I'm new to this forum. So hi haha. )

There's A LOT of other threads already that match yours pretty closely.

What'd you turn up by searching the forum?

Sounds like a better question to ask those in the Snipers Perch of airsoft Retreat. Up here in Canada we pay a lot, sometimes double, of what you in the US can get airsoft guns for. I'm a bit of a purist for the original ones, Maruzen APS2-SV or the L96, CA M24, TM VSR10, etc. I can't comment on the clones of those guns, nor do I know of any prices of them in US bucks. But at least that will give you something to work with to try to find a basic stock new rifle for under $300.

Just a little more than what you wanted to spend, but if you're serious about this, don't cheap out.

Well, I looked at them, and the price of both is fine. They're both very high quality, but seem to be just TOO weak. Do they have many possible upgrades?

all of the guns that Stalker just mentioned have a number of aftermarket parts that will allow to you make your sniper rifle into a beast of a gun. i think the american forums would be better suited for your questions as our laws regarding airsoft are VERY different from yours.

They have a plethora of upgrades. For power all you need is a $15 spring. Of course to maintain that kind of power you would need to upgrade alot of other parts as well.

Like has been said prowl some US sites, especially for your local community where you will be playing and read the rules for sniping. Is it allowed for noobs, what is the FPS limit, etc...

To get a really good, accurate, powerful airsoft sniper rifle, you'll need to double or triple your budget.... (thats' applicaple to everywhere in the world.....)

Sorry airsoft is really expensive

PS: dont make the newbie error of wanting to buy a sniper rifle after playing a FPS game (like COD...) because in airsoft it's not ''point and shoot''. Wind, weigh of bb... will affect your accuracy aswell

If you moderately upgrade the FPS, and focus on the inner barrel and hop-up, you won't need that much in the way of strengthened parts and you can improve your accuracy considerably.

the best airsoft sniper rifles?

I'm not so sure about the airsoft sniper rifles that are in the $300 range, since that is more than my cheap a** would spend, but I can say that for about $160 - $180 or so, you can get a UTG L96 with scope & bipod (and we are talking a GOOD scope). I have heard nothing but good things about the UTG L96, and it is a REALLY nice sniper rifle for the price IMO. Yea, it doesn't look any different than the other L96 clones (well for the most part), but it really is a great gun as far as I am concerned. I would check out pyramydair; they have one with a UTG 4x32 scope, and if you spend like $15 more, you can get one with a UTG 4x40 ILLUMINATED reticle scope. Hope this helps a little. Just my 2 cents.

next step would be getting constant fps out of the cylinder unit (buy good quality springs)... and a perfect compression!

There is a reason why you should start off with a TM VSR10 instead of some clone. It's built a lot better and aftermarket parts fitment/tolerances are made for TM, not clones.

Start off with a quality platform and you'll get great performance. Start off with a crappy platform and you'll have a lot of frustrations and fitment issues with some aftermarket parts.

There is a reason why people like Amos have built their rifles from a TM VSR platform even though almost none of the parts are original TM now.

Laylax is a good company for aftermarket parts.
