Aftermath Broxa Tac-MP5 AEG

Well just like the Kraken review I read earlier, I'd like to point out that this is not a main stream brand. However, that being said it fires as well as some that I have used. The Broxa like the Kraken is a fully integrative TM clone.

Well to start things off the packaging was fairly standard with graphics to catch the eye of the consumer, and on a humorous note, phrased on the box "The adult airsoft solution" The gun was packaged quite firmly so as to avoid damage, also included is the prerequisite cheap sling, manual, a hi cap clip, a battery with a basic charger and an unjamming rod.

Initial thought were very good, as I heaved it out of the box the weight was very nice and even. I then went in and started shaking random parts to see if there was anything loose. I was pleased when I found nothing. The nice blaze orange tip covers what I think is a 14mm thread set for any screw on mods. Now something that I did not like. The clip that is included with the Broxa feels cheap and very flimsy.

Alright, now for the important stuff, field usage. I have fielded my Broxa a number of times now and I have been very pleased with it. After reading a few reviews on other sites I learned that it shoots on average 360-370 FPS. Which I feel is very accurate since the other people I play with operate low grade m4s and I out shoot them every time. As for people saying its a CQB weapon, I see your point, but I seem to be able to shoot only a little worse than the Kraken.
As for accuracy, with the .20 BB's I use I get fairly nice groupings that I can't honestly complain with. That being said though there are times where it will start shooting very inconsistently with seemingly no internal problems.

One issue I do have on a, all to consistent basis, the Broxa seems to enjoy jamming on me. It unjams very easily but I would like to not have to at all.

Now durability, everything seems very sturdy except for a few things. The lever that is paired with a push button clip ejector broke on me only a few times out. Not a big deal since it also has the ejector button. Now the problem that makes me nervous doing anything more than a roll. The clip is so flimsy being made of plastic, and being how narrow and tall they are. I have already cracked mine and it won't be long till it breaks now. I don't see this as a reason not to buy the Broxa but a reason to buy a much better clip.

Overall, this gun shoots very well with minor problems that don't crop up too often. This is a great beginner gun and I even encourage a few vets out there to pick this one up if you need a nice little AEG.

** Sorry for the lack of pictures but I have no access to a camera.**

stop saying clip, it's a magazine, and you might want to do a spell check before posting a review that is meant to educate people

maybe add some pics to spice it up a bit too

Thanks for the whole clip-mag thing! Wouldn't wanna sound more dumb than I need to. And I completely forgot to do a spell check thanks for bringing all that to my attention. I also can't wait to get a camera so I can do a better review.

calling a clip a mag or a mag a clip is wrong because they are not the same device

I love how n00bs flock to reviews done by n00bs, and not the ones done by experienced players.

Canadian Firearms Terminology, lesson 1:

Clip = An incorrect term used to describe a magazine

Magazine = see cartridge magazine

Cartridge magazine = A device or container from which ammunition may be fed into the firing chamber of a firearm. The Cartridge Magazine Control Regulations set out the limit for the number of cartridges permitted for different types of magazines. two common types are box-type magazine and tubular magazine.

Just for FYI...

Well who else do you expect to extol the virtues of Aftermath while damn near drowning in ignorance of the sport. Though of course at no fault of their own (most of the time), just simply due to lack of experience. This also makes their opinions on low quality AEGs almost shine as a beacon of light to those who want to hear what they wanna hear about shitsoft guns, instead of the people who know what their talking about when they say "this gun is crap".

Yet further proof of the blind leading the blind.

Hey buddy, you better watch that attitude around here. You shit all over yourself with every post you make. If you wanna stick around, become a valued member of this community and this sport then you better check your pre-teen angst at the door. This is a PUBLIC FORUM. If you have private matters you don't want others budding into, then take it to a private medium.

Every piece of info I have provided has been correct and relevant. Would you rather I provided incorrect, pointless information?

Reviews written by newbies are often not helpful. This isn't because they're stupid or the review is poorly written -it's because they simply don't have the experience with enough AEG's to compare it to. This is evident when anyone gives a glowing review of anything Aftermath. They're bottom-of-the-barrel for what's acceptable. Nothing compared to a Classic Army, G&P, VFC, Ares, or full metal ICS. An Aftermath gun is ok for the money.. but cheap is still cheap.

For some reasons, newbies always seem to take reviews by other newbies with no comparative experience as a word unto God compared to those of us with the experience.

if you dont believe guns that are not over 700$ are good then stay out of topics that aren't about them.

I have a good quality gun that cost me $350. It's my favorite gun to plink with and (in my opinion) better than the $700 variant.

If you have no experience with airsoft guns, please refrain from making comments about stuff you know nothing about.

Just to add on, I also have this gun, decent but not really fun if your too close(playing against it) in regard to your mention of off shots sometimes, I thought the same thing at first but I noticed it only happened with lightly polished BBs, a strong polish or double polish has not given me any issues- including the jamming 1 which does happen more often then most guns, my recommendation when you get this clean the barrel as it might be grimey(?). Uhm, the clip is just plastic and bends, i;ve tripped once with it and it hit the ground vertically and was fine. I don't like the way the upper barrel area bends if twisted but it seems strong enough and is equiped with a mix of plastic and metal. Its cheap for Canada and works well. Also from what i;ve seen the Chrono is more about 350-360 havn't seen a 370 reading (but hey the box does say 400 >.>) just my thoughs, oh and you can get a metal "jg" mag for like 15$ 1 thing I forgot to say about the stock mage, its a Double MAG not double Clip(as in the clip that clips 2 regular mags together) the mag holds 560(box says) and you feed it in 1 side and it fills up both.

You forgot to mention the yucky lube in the gearbox, the craptasmic hopup, the crappy compression system, and the barrel wobble, but I doubt you care.
