2 vs. 2 games types?

Here in the Comox Valley (van isl.) it is pretty rare to get more than a couple guys together for a decent game. so i was wondering does anybody have ideas for a small game type (4-5 people) that is either planned out and tactical or just random fun. Most of us have small, mp5 style guns with locap mags, so no sniping or anything of the sort.

Terrain types are fairly varied, so ill make a quick list
1. Fairly open forest with wood structures/cover built. Around 1-2 acres
2. Dense forest with stumps/large cedar tree as cover. Some natural trenches.
3. Above is adjacent to a steep bank going up around 30 meters at ~20-30 degree slope. Also has some tree patches/old stumps and a couple old well sites (nothing deep just test holes which have been mostly filled in but can be used as foxholes)

*We do own this property, and it is not near any roads/public areas. All owners of properties that lie alongside this acreage have been talked to and have no problem with what we are doing.

im thinking just have the games set as a 2vs 2 manhunt. simple and alot of fun when it gets to the shooting because you know there are only 2 people against you and who knows if one of them is flanking.

not really 2v2 but here are some 4 man and 2 man game ideas i came up with in like ten seconds lol

survival (3v1) one player gets a strong position to defend and has to fight off the 3 advancing players

duel (2 players at a time)
a ten pace duel with pistols

tag team

2 players face off at a time with the other two on standby when one player is eliminated the other player enters the game

i imagine this would have to be a smaller area so as not to slow down the gameplay

very basic but could be fun

you could do little things too like limit ammo down to 30 rounds per person to give you a more slow paced firefight

im sure ill think of some more hope that helped a little

cheers

great ideas... like the idea of the 2 person game with other 2 waiting to switch on. To make that more fast paced you could add the rule of having a certain amount of time per round (5 minutes or so) and if neither person has won by then, both players must switch off. This would make it much quicker and more intense.

Keep the ideas flowing

if it's just 4 guys, why not have an every-man-for-himself game, semi only, it would be very nice

We have something here called Strong side:
Everyone starts on there own team in other words free for all, but say I tag somebody they are now on my team, but if they get tagged again they leave my team to go to the other guys team. And once everyone is on the same team game ends. The tricky part is keeping everyone in eyesight so you know how is on who's team.

Do some training:

Make a four man sqaud and train the living piss out of yourselfs and go to some big milsims.

Hand signals
Comms ( Proper Radio chatter )
Fire and movement
Gun discipline ( Gun fighter )

Once yo have done some dry fire training. Send a man out along a trail and have him ambush you. The group has to read the situation and react to it... Example ( Aussie peel back and counter ambush ).

Just a thought...

1 objective and the 4 of you practice communication and movement to reach it.

Like the navy seal live fire trainning. You can see what I mean on youtube if you search for navy seals documentary on Discovery channel.

We've tried 2 Vs 2 and although it works, it does make for a little bit of a dull game. However the adrenaline does pump a little bit more when you realize that there's no-one with you to cover your ass.

A few friends and myself enjoy this game.

Everyone starts out on their own, there are secondary flags that must be captured first. After a good firefight with someone, you join up in a 2 man team and head into the area (woods on my property) that the main flag is located. By that time the other two or four guys have met up and battled one another and are now a team that you will fight against.

Its a lot of fun because you can add certain elements, you can play for a good period of time against everyone and whoever captured the most flags on their own aside from the main flag that must be captured in 2 man teams can win something or gets a closer headstart on the next match.

Cheers

We're in the same situation up here in Yellowknife, NT. We get 4 or 5 guys out so far...

One we tried that's a lot of fun, is a road game. You get a short road (only need 200m MAX), any trail will do. You put two "end zones" about 50m apart or so, with a flag in the middle. You restart at the far opposite ends of the road, and your goal is to get the flag across the opposing teams endzone. As you are moving it to their endzone, it's getting closer to their respawn, so it's harder. We've made it a bit better by putting a bunch of pallets vertically on the road, so there's lots of cover.

Oh, and the more important part: The flag HAS to stay ON the road. So if you've secured the area you can move it up, but if it gets to hot or you get shot, you have to drop it on the road and bug out.

Lots of fun,

Cheers
