Seems some of the real steel boys don't like airsoft....

Pretty lame airsoft nerd, complaining about his "rights"

The reporter is allowed to shoot an airsoft gun, without eye safety, and damn near points it at her face directly after shooting it..
I gave up trying to defend airsoft to the real steel guys! What makes me made is that some of them go out and play paintball on the weekends and yet bash our sport.

The CBC show airs in 15 minutes here and I for one am glad that out of all the people they picked, Brian was the one!

Drache, just as it's unfair for some real steel guys to equate all of us as overweight wannabes, it's unfair for us to equate all real steel guys as insecure retards. There's a good number of real steel guys over at CGN who defends us against the real steel loudmouths.

Brian represented Airsoft and what I personally stand for: Ban for 18 and under, as well as licensed responsibilities with legal repercussions.

The TTAC match showed the softer side of the issue when seen in a controlled environment. I also enjoyed the personal freedom in a free society speech, as that is what Canada stands for on the global scene.

The tests they put on however, were awfully weak. All in all, I did not feel any threat to Airsoft in general, I even rather enjoyed the differentiation between BB guns and Airsoft.

Brian McIlmoyle, I appreciate your contribution to this piece.

That was hilarious! They cut at just the right moment at some parts that made me laugh out loud. "Are these guns loaded?" *cut to next shot* lol. Point a black TV remote at those distances away from these cops, and they would still shoot you. I lol'd throughout the entire piece, loved the guy in the brown coat with the big smile walking into Parliament. The kid out in the street talking to the reporter, pointing the gun all around while people walked past him. "Gun Shy" politicians, who are actually just "Media shy".

Brian had some very good points, and I think they showed TTAC in a very good light. No worries on airsoft, although pellet gun owners/collectors may be facing stricter laws in the future (me included).

Also that drag queen at the end talking in the angry Joker voice kinda made me want to watch The Dark Knight again.

I didn't say all of them are, I said "some" and I've been in three long threads over there about airsoft and having more members stating that all airsofters are immature than ones defending the sport. But yes some defend the sport and would actually like to play.

I've watch half the the CBC show and I have to say Brian so far has been doing pretty well in explaining things.

The part about the laws was pretty funny and made me chuckle.

Here is what the goverment and cop should do:
Threat every sitution with a firearm, no matter if its a true or a fake, like it is a fake one.
Require to be 18 years old everywhere in Canada to legally buy a bb gun or an airsoft gun, no matter if its transparent or black.

I don't get the argument that they are afraid to shoot a criminasl that don't have a real gun. I mean you should be happy criminals use airsoft guns instead of real ones for robberies and such, it makes everyone involve much safer. In that case, only the criminal is at risk and he pretty much asked for it and should get shot. The weird argument that he should "earn" his robberies by using a real gun is ridiculous.
I think the 18yo rule is pretty much a no-brainer. Overall the show wasn't that bad and if it does indeed go to having to get a license for airsoft and be 18, who here would really mind going thru the required process to be finally left alone ?

I actually thought that the report was fair. Not calling for a ban, just regulation. Hell, if we DO regulate airsoft to the point where you need a license, then perhaps we can import or buy them freely. overall, i wouldn't worry about the report. i originally thought it would be another doomsday report for airsoft, but i was pleasantly surprised.
BTW, nice job all your guys at TTAC and hats off to Brian, who handled himself most admirably!

I thought it was done pretty well, not as negative as I expected after seeing the preview. The page that shows the difference between Pellet and airsoft is nice too.

Plus its great seeing myself on T.V in 3 scenes :P

GOOO TTAAC!

Interesting in the opening where the 4 Vancouver cops were asked to identify fake guns, one out of three did and they emphasized that, but they never asked the 22 year vet how he was able to tell it was fake...

Okay, you want to talk about irresponsible, "Gus" buys a Walter from a hobby shop and then she interviews him with it, at night, beside a mini-van and Gus is waving the gun around right there on the street.... nice...
