I am not sure how effective they are or how well they work but what about leaving the stock spring alone and adding a velocity reducer that screws onto the end of the barrel there was a guy who came to one of our airsoft nights at soldier gear who was using one of these and he showed me how it worked seemed to be fairly simple way of reducing the guns fps without having to re-work the internals when its time to start up outdoor games again

I am sure there was someone from this site that sells them perhaps airsoftparts.ca but i couldnt find a link for it on there site quickly

Some clubs dont allow these, as they dont work that well on full auto, you will have to check with your club to see if they are allowed

Wasnt aware of that thanks for the heads up I am a field manager at Soldier Gear and this is good to know. If someone is running one of these is it advisable to ask them to run semi only ? I am still a newb when it comes to airsoft but only took one game to get me hooked.

well defcon usually runs semi so this should work for me
