Extended 1911 magazines.

Are there any M1911 extended magazines? As in, magazines that visibly protrude from the grip of the pistol, much like the ones for the glock 18.

Zombie thread!

I've just checked on Google looking for extended Marui-compatible extended 1911 mags without success.

The only answer I got from this research was this thread.

Does anybody know if these now exist? Preferably in Wilson Combat style...

None for TM. Western Arms released a
Wilson Super Grade DX and Standard
(SCW3) a couple years ago, and a LE
supply of extra long 1911 mags. All the
mags are sold out, but there are a few
places carrying the gun still, look around.

TM has an extended mag for the Hi-Capa now, but nothing for the MEU or M1911.

lol, my TM Xtreme can hardly get through 50 shots on the large gas reservoir in the hicapa long mags, how would it manage in a 1911?

I must admit that I got that sudden 'need' while watching Magpul Dynamics Vol 2... Yeah, having a few more rounds already in your secondary isn't a bad thing at all, and it doesn't need much more space.

Lame

Hicap noobs.

Try learning to aim better
and you won't need a silly
looking gun to compensate.
Your just slapping a hopper
on the bottom of your gun...
The paintball door is always
open, maybe that's for you.

Brian—

When are you gonna run
another CQB 2/4man comp?
Maybe these rookies will
learn that even with a 100rd
pistol mag they're still going
to get taken out by better
shooters.

Winter is coming... ATQ 2 and ATQ 3 Courses will be Scheduled soon.

Running a private session for a team this Sunday.. They will get the full treatment of tactical Mindset modification.

in my opinion extended mags have a bad effect on the balance of most pistols. So you get more amo but you can hit less with it.

Here is the issue... The TM single stack mag is fine .. and more than enough gas to propel the 7-10 rounds that a realcap load would be .. even if you over load it to say 12 rounds .. there is still gas enough.

If you are running a sigle stack pistol .. it's not really reasonable to want it to be holding 20 rounds. Lower profile pistol... = less ammo capacity

@safx: Please don't generalize. I'm looking at an higher capacity mag for my MEU for use as real cap

Not generalizing... just saying.. the extra mag length throws off the balance ..

but anyway.. to each his own..
