IMO, Knyte is in the right here...

This may be ironic, but people other than Vlad and Knyte really need not reply to this thread.

Knyte, I'd suggest contacting the mods.
I never said Knyte was in the wrong, I just said that the way he went about it is wrong. Everything else is just icing on the cake and Ive got a free afternoon.

Anyways a refund option was given as store policy and thats that. A mistake was made by accident and Knyte just blew the entire thing out or proportion. If Vlad was TRYING to rip Knyte off, I doubt that a refund option would have even been given.

Knyte I will say this: If you can posted that Vlad had made this mistake and refused to refund your money I would have been one of the first to be on a road trip with you to go get it. I just believe you could have gone about this a nicer way that stating you were "lied" to.

I do apologize for trolling and I will stop as long as thing stays civil and no more slanderous comments are made.

Please do as it is yours and similar comments that have made this thread the beast it is instead of a simple product update and me removing my original post as was the plan.

Actually that's not true Vlad's responses would have had to been addressed as well... But still...

And I mean, to put it into perspective, I could have everyone who's purchased products from me or had custom gear work done post here and tell everyone how great their experience was with me and that Vlad is in the wrong but what good would that do?

AND again, MODS, please split this thread from post #33 and on to a new thread, call it SurplusIG Cadpat BDU Dispute or something please. Thanks.

It isn't 50/50 cotton nylon. And again, you added that 50/50 cotton nylon to the description only recently. It wasn't there previously, so why would you say it would enlighten me you idiot, I already have the product I can see the type of material now that I have it in my hands.

It COULD be nylon ripstop possibly but it feels as though it's been treated with some sort of coating if that's the case. Either way, it is nothing like the combat cloth you told me it was.

Vlad your statement shows who is the kiddo here. You probably lost a lot of business from that immature comment alone. I know a lot of people don't want to do business with asshats. Nicely done.

You did not say anything about 50/50 cotton nylon when I purchased it, you said it was like the issued combat cloth or frontenac.

Again, it isn't 50/50 cotton nylon, it might be ripstop. 50/50 cotton nylon and 50/50 cotton nylon ripstop are different. Doesn't really matter though what the material is, it matters what it ISN'T, which is the combat cloth like material which you told me it was, which is why this issue exists.

And between the two of us it really seems you are the one having trouble understanding or comprehending what's being said/written.

i never said that it was like the frontenac material, don't put letters onto my fingers, i said that it's the replacement for the frontenac and i've repeated this many times. You need to discipline yourself to analyze and properly inquire prior to ordering... education is a life-long process, it's never too late to start though...

Yes that is exactly what you said. I asked if it was the like the combat cloth used in issued bdu's or the frontenac cadpats, which you said, yes it was.

And I suggest you start with some English education yourself.

I suggest some EXACT QUOTES from PM's be placed in here so it's not just a "he said she said" argument so that when I wake up from this pounding headache, I can read through this ugly mess and make sense of some of it BASED ON FACTS.

I'm not going to make any judgements here based on what anybody claims the other guy said without factual evidence. If there's a dispute on a quote, I may be forced to dig out and view PMs myself. PLEASE DON'T WASTE MY TIME.

Sort this shit out like adults. BOTH parties involved are starting to act like children at this point, although I can see Knyte's disappointment if what he claims are true.

My opinion: If a customer asked me: "is this product made of steel?" and I replied "yes, it is made of steel" but actually sent him a part made of aluminum... and he complained about it, I would refund him not only for the full cost of the item, but for shipping both ways as *I* am the one at fault for not knowing my product. That is my loss, not his. BUT THAT'S JUST MY POLICY. Technically, companies do NOT have an obligation to do that and is generally done only as a gesture of good will.

#1 You got the wrong item.
#2 Return it at your cost, he pays for the right item to be shipped.
#3 If he doesn't agree, inform the appropriate authorities.
#4 Hope warnings are being handed out appropriately in this thread.
#5 http://www.4chan.org/

Edit: +1 to Illusion, sellers need to know their products, thats basic good business practice. Vlad if i drop by your shop this weekend and ask you something about a BDU set you are selling and you provide me with the wrong information then sorry but you won't be making a sell... Oh and insulting your customer is *never* a good idea... even if the customer is a dipshit

Knyte, maybe you can publish some pictures of your cadpat-clothes so that we may see what they look like.

The picture that SurplusIG had in his thread he seems to have removed and the quality of the image was not good, and perhaps misleading.

It may not be standard policy for online retailers to refund the shipping cost also but there are retailers that do it. I placed an order with Optactical and they had mistakenly sent a wrong item that was priced at $35 USD. They told me to keep it and the right one will be sent out right away at no additional cost to me. Needless to say, I'm still a loyal customer to them.

Vlad seems to be a great guy when I went to see him about some ACU. Unfortunately for me, he did not have any in stock that day. Worse still, on the way back, some flying garbage on the highway hit my Jeep which required hundreds of dollars of repair plus the cost of towing.

The thing that frustrated me more was that I assumed the ACU were in stock when you put them up in a sales thread. So, if anyone is planning to drop by in person, better to call first to see if it's really in stock. Sorry to say, I ordered my set from another online retailer after that night.

+1 to Illusions post. if you dont take the time to know your product, you should take responsibility when you screw up. You dont gain respect from the community for providing a good product, but for how you deal with situations like this. So far, im VERY unimpressed with SurplusIG and will not send any teammates & new recruits in that direction for their CADPAT uniforms.

I find it kind of funny though that everyones trying to argue with Knyte about the material used... when hes licensed to purchase and produce items with issue CADPAT material by the DND!

BTW, Frontenac CADPAT (and Im going to assume this new crap) is NOT an authentic cut even. Its cut NOTHING like issued CADPAT. So whoevers argueing that front, well, stop it.
