Red Dot Clone Review ~M4~

As I have mentioned before... I am building some airsoft rifles for shooter on shooter airsoft training rifle. When Huang added the M4 red dot to his inventory I went ahead and ordered one to use on the training rifles. As always, things went smoothly and I can't say enough good things about how Charles does bussiness.

The unit is actually pretty darn nice appearing from the exterior.

The unit was boxed with foam cut to fit the red dot. A "bikini" style scope cover came with the scope. The unit has full trades and a threaded kill flash. The trades look like the real M4's. For clarity sake, I'd prefer non-trademarked versions as these are clones. You can't find non-trademarked versions. That said, these are shallow enough that with some masking tape and a well matched paint, they could be filled in and smoothed up so no one would be confused about if it's a real unit or a clone.

The power levels adjust to nine levels of brightness. There is a small spacer/riser included as well which fits between the bottom of the red dot and the mount.

On the battery tube, there are two grooves for o-rings but no o-rings were installed. Oddly enough there is a hole drilled through the lower o-ring slot that goes through both sides of the battery tube. Obviously this would impact any attempt to fully seal the battery tube. I suspect it's just a hole the manufacture put in to set up a jig for engraving the trades.

So here are the pics:

For clarity sake:
I do not endorse or condone the use of this product on anything at anytime anywhere, this is mearly a post reflecting my expeince/observation of the item in question. I am in no way related to the sale, manufacture, distribution, etc of this product or any other products. Also I have no relation or agreement with Charles Huang/Dragon Red Airsoft.

Thx man nice review and pics. You think its doable to make it fully sealed since I play in rain once in a while?
If you're short of everything except enemies, you're in combat.
