I don't get their new "thing"....
So what if other legal aged guys came onto 'shootsoft.ca' and wnated to order a gun?
They would have to sign up for ASC, use their time to meet up with reps , and then wait for age verification?
So what if they didn't want to be an actual airsoft player, but just have the airsoft gun itself around the house?
This new age verified thing for 'shootsoft' is really confusing, and you need to make it more clear..

If you want airsoft that you aren't going to use, go get a clearsoft and paint it black.

The process is a little strange, but is awesome overall.

Also, if the person is interested in airsoft and wants to get a weapon, why wouldn't they want to get onto ASC and get verified. There's lots of awesome deals on here.

EEeeee your going to pay 400$ for an AEG who you use only around the house??

The trouble with airsoft... what ever your age is! There is to many danger!

What if people see you around your house and call the police, because they think you want to kill your child???

Your so happy of your new toy's you take it to your job!! Who know's what could happen over there!?? You live it in your car, and some one see it and call the police!

Wurst... On the way to your job with the AEG in your hand, a policeman see you and say STOP! You turn and showing him your toy... He fire on you!

WHY AGE VERIFIED IS SO LONG.... AND ONLY IN PERSON!!

Because during all that time your going around to learn every think about are sports! You will understand the risk... YOU WILL RESPECT your baby when he will be yours! You will know why the law around Airsoft is so strong!

FOR ALL THOSE REASON, we from shootSOFT will make no exception!!

It's not confusing at all. Actually, it's about as basic and simple as you can get. If you're not age-verified through ASC, you can't buy from them. It's that simple. There aren't any confusing policies or rules in place. It's pretty straightforward. I agree with this policy. It has a couple of good points.

First, it guarantees that all his customers are 18+, as they should be. I honestly don't think that there should be an easy way for kids to be able to accquire an airsoft gun without their parents being involved in the process or knowing about it. It's just like you can't just walk in to Canadian Tire and buy one of their airguns if you're not 18. And this policy will guarantee that.

Secondly, he doesn't have a store that's open to the public. That makes LeGros no different than any of the other vendors that peddle their wares in the classified section here on ASC. They choose to deal only with age-verified members, and that's perfectly fine by me. I'm sure he can keep his business going quite nicely with just the sales he gets from ASC members alone. It allows him to keep providing us with decent guns at a reasonable price, make some money in the process (the point of running a business in the first place), all without attracting undue scrutiny from law enforcement that could easily access his site otherwise. The only difference is that shootsoft has an online store front with payment system built in, whereas other vendors (for the most part) deal privately through the forum with EMTs.

Personally, I think this second point will probably help ensure some longevity for the business. With the bleak landscape we're currently seeing with Canadian airsoft, any vendor, even one that deals privately such as shootsoft, is more than welcome in my book.

Maybe insted of the site saying,, shootSOFT is close for a general maintenance, we will be back soon!,, It should say,, MUST BE age-verified through AIRSOFT CANADA to buy from this site. Plus this link: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=49408.
Or something like that Legros.

Actually it doesn't. I'm not going to get into why.

Another point, how does a person that either no longer uses ASC, or has been banned from it, but is still very much in the game and in the market for new guns, get one through Shootsoft?

It's not perfect, but I'll take it over other stores' policies of selling to anyone.

thats not our or shootsofts problems really. If they followed the rules, they would not be banned, and able to view Shootsofts products.

Shootsoft decided to up the ante on making sure their customers are 18+ across the country, and the easiest and cheapest way for them to do so is to use the age verified members of ASC.

Kudo's to Shootsoft for doing what all the other retailers claimed they did.

I'm totally in favor of the idea of selling guns only to age-verified ASC members.
