Slides overseas?

After browsing through the FAQ's I noticed that in some of the newer threads people were saying that metal pistol slides cannot be imported. But in the airsoft importation thread it says they can. Can someone clear that up for me?

I ordered a Shooters Design metal slide and outer barrel from Redwolf and received it without any problem.

G 17 and Glock 17 Black on the packaging as well as 7075 High Quality Aluminum. I ordered it June 2 and signed for it June 12.

I ordered a P99 metal slide, barrel and silencer from the US. Took longer than an overseas order but customs opened it. They looked at everything and did a very shitty job putting it back together but I got everything intact.

CBSA has a tendency to err on the side of caution and seize outer barrels that it would classify as a prohibited device (ie under 105mm). Longer barrels shouldn't be an issue.

I wouldn't be ordering the barrel just a slide for my p99.

hmmm, I could have sworn they would seize them. I never knew you could get them through near hassle free.

Has anyone had a metal slide seized? If not I think I'll just go for it.
