I don't run, but I do put bigger tires on my wheelchair the night before a game.

I run in full gear, 5k every night,
um wait I do not even dream that when I am sleeping.
no I do run a couple times a week, but not to give me an edge up, just cause I like running.
I would not worry about it, if you are running two times a day, you got a lot of guys beat. just don't get lazy, since we all said you don't have to run to play airsoft. haha

I run when it's necessary, or when I don't feel like walking to/from spawn points. I find if you carry a lot of water on you it isn't much of a problem.

Well I made my own small training field in the woods behind my woods and train in it alot and usually practice stances and stuff you would more then likely use in games.

The better shape you are in, the easier you will find it to;

- attack positions
- performs maneuvers like pepper potting, advance to contact etc
- move tactically (leopard crawling etc)

Or you can just walk around and wait to get picked off...

Airsoft does not require a high level of physical fitness - if you can run 2.4km in less than 12min then i'd say you more than meet the general req's for cardio. anything faster is gravy.

I'm a fat white guy.

I don't run almost at all. Try running with 100% humidity when it's +36 and no shade... trust me, no-one runs.

I run all the time. I expect all the guys in my squad to run when I run. If yer not running your getting shot. Even when I'm taking cover behind a tree I try to jog on the spot. Most of the guys on my team are hyper active so we tend to run in our sleep. Does this give us an edge on the field? Hell yes! It means we are the first for hotdogs, drinks the first in place for cover, to shoot to get shot to die, to scream bloody Mary when we've run too far and are now running away. We run up hill, down hill, on top of hills we run on eachother. Hell with all the running we do it's surprising we even get to play the game.

Run Forest run.

Way to regurgitate the min. requirements to join the CF buddy

If you can walk 2.4 km then I'd say you meet the general req's for cardio in airsoft

I got a bad back from a serious injury four years ago, proof you don't need to be physically fit to have fun!

You can learn on the field, so long as your 18 and not a moron, ppl are pretty nice at games and will show you some stuff if you ask.

Or you can try some CQB games at TTAC.
that's very true, Airsoft has one of the most friendly community I ever encounter.

I did paintball for years.

You can get away with not running much, but some fields require a LOT of walking. I would say that being in shape to run if you need to will make your day more enjoyable. But you will still have fun if you don't want to run.

Once you get on the field, it's all up to you...so long as you don't mind potentially being a liability to your team. I don't do much running, because games last a long time (the whole afternoon) and it's useless to get completely exhausted within the first hour. It's better to just move quickly than all out run.
