Nope. If you're playing indoors where you'll have the opportunity to retrieve it and any associated parts, for sure. They are an absolute blast to use in CQB. Outdoors parts and the grenade itself will get lost easily. Save your money for more BBs and hold the trigger down longer.

What Gryphon said.
There arent really any 'good' grenades I can think of. Good meaning very few parts to lose.

Well, it all depends on a number of things.

CQB is the best use for them for obvious reasons aside from retrieving the unit, you just plain get better results from it.

However, there is one grenade out there that I've found to be very well designed.

The pin is the only thing that comes off when this thing goes. The gas fires the bb's out the bottom and those little black plugs are tethered.

DanO here in town brought a couple of these out to the last "Gun Doc Day" and I think I put a good amount of wear on it ((Set it off at least 20 times))

They make a good loud bang and they have a good spread on the BB's. Also you could adjust the time delay.

Outside of CQB use, I hope to get a few of these and a good tactical roll of the handy man secret weapon and some trip wire. Make you all watch your steps coming down the trails.

Outdoors, use dummy grenades. I got taken out my very first game with a grenade. It was kinda funny, I really had no idea what to do after seeing it plop down over the hill about 2 feet from me and the guy who threw it yelling BANG.

You don't REALLY need a functional grenade as long as people are fully aware of its deployment and location, so they can call themselves out as necessary.

i dont think that i would ever really want to use a dummy grenade just because im not in it for the role play as much as im in it for the fun of it. me and the people i play with in calgary just play because its fun and havent really gotten into the role play aspect yet. thanks for the input.

I highly doubt flashbangs are legal and I have an even greater doubt that the people who you play with would enjoy the fun of having temp vision loss and all those side effects of the grenade. I also have a feeling they aren't the safest thing in the world to toss at a non-threat.

Flash-bangs...lets think about that for a minute... they are used to dummy an enemy in a tactical situation. I do believe these can make you loose a finger I know there are people on here that have used them and could confirm this. As for them being legal lets think about that for a minute..hmmm, yeah there not legal.

Getting them is possible (some civilian versions exist), but using them in any wooded area tends to go against a whole set of forest-fire laws.

They are also not the safest thing to mess with.

Now I have seen several different designs on airsoft granades, there is a clamshell design http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...C-828_srch_PFI
then there is one that breaks up in to four peices http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...ail?newsID=772

and also a water reaction one, my question what is the easiest one to import and which one works the best? I am personally looking to get two and my guys are looking at atleast one each, But I have heard that customs are taking them at the boarder. Anyone else heard that?

cardboard sphere, fire cracker, fuse, BBs

theres your disposable and cheap grenade thats perfect for outdoor use. problem is you gotta make em yourself, and be very careful on the type of firecracker that gets used.

This is the most laughable thing I have read in a while. "Civilian" flashbangs. Do tell, almighty one. This pyrotechnician of more than a decade is curious.

Not to mention illegal and dangerous.

Best grenade I've used yet: http://www.nltm.us/thumper.html

Yes it's expensive, but oh so much fun to use.
