Sohxblitz, it's probably a good idea to stop wearing full gear to restaurants lest you be called "mall ninjas", "poseurs" etc.

Cool

Half and Half.

Quite frankly I think the whole "they're gonna think we're terrorosts" thing is really getting a bit overblown.

Perhaps not something you want to do in downtown Toronto, but I don't worry about it to much when I am going to games or matches.

If CSIS is investigating me, they are surely aware that, while I wear camo and play soldier, I am not planning plotting any hard targets or people.

I have nothing to hide if they want to tap my phone...

Full civvie for me. I play in the summer, and I like to be confortable while I drive... no sense wearing heavy camo. That and yeah, less funny looks while driving, more comfortable getting out of the car for food or gas. Changing takes what, 2 minutes? Blah.

in ottawa we see Canadaian forces in their BDU all the time...the shopping mall, resturants, you name it.
Ill wear my BDU to and from a game.
but gear, no way.
there is no reason for someone to wear a BDU into a resturant except to show off...and its just not smart.

Just to clarify my post...I agree Droc...camo is one thing, vests, LBV's and holsters are just asking for trouble.

I voted half, because the first thing I remember everyone being concerned about was someone hearing our guns in the middle of the night for what ever reason and calling in the cops cause of hearing "Automatic guns fire." Anyone that's heard an airsoft versus a real steel know that won't be a big issue. It was always the "Large groups of guys showing up in camo to this place" that bugged me. I mean two games ago at the Foxden there was all of us gearing up and loading mags slapping cocking levers and all that when a Jahova's Witness shows up to hand us bibles. Trying everything I can not too laugh because it was one of those "Its my turn to scare you time bitch" moments, but then remembering people getting freaked out from just the gear. Here we are with Quantis and his high powered sniper rifle, Prav with his AK, Hazard with his SR-16, LUTNIT with his M4, Me with my M4.... who else was there I know there was a couple others atleast... no? anyway you get the picture kinda.

Anyway I don't think any of us should be wearing full camo anywhere. Mind you.... I'd REALLY love to show up to McDonalds in the middle of the night in a FULL ghillie... that'd be fun

I generally wear my BDU pants and civie shirt and the rest goes into my duffel and my rifle into it's case. Simple, staight forward and as mentioned earlier...avoids the 2 hr lecture on airsoft.

Why draw the question?

I typically wear, half and half to and from games..

When I am not in Business Suit.. I am typically head to toe, 5.11 clothing, I including vest...because I'm Hooked on the comfort and utility of the clothes for every day wear.. but I get accused of wearing "fishing clothes" with that look..much more than any thing else.

If I know I am going to hop in the truck and head straight to the field with no stops.. I may wear my BDU.. but never never never any gear. I simply can not think of any reason to wear LBV, or Tactical equipment , or holsters in public... Other than in a effort to "freak people out" or draw attention to one's self. It's a bad decision.. an anyone who is in the practice of doing it.. needs to re-think it.

As long as there are no guns or replica devices that would be considered sketchy on you I don't see a problem.

Does not really matter if you see a problem.. you are accustomed to the stuff... it is what others see that could be the problem

Why some one would wear vest or webbing while driving or riding in a vehical doesn't make sense to me...
