G36 Mags On An Airplane

Does anybody have any experience moving G36 mags (with fake rounds) through airports and such? Any thoughts on what procedures and precautions I should/could take?

Thanks

LMAO.... that sir is Priceless. Should be an automated response to pretty dumb questions like this... Greylocks "I pitty da foo who don't read da FAQ"... and Droc's snickering "Here's what you do... and with only shoe lack a thumbtack and 12 pounds of plastic explosive...

Oh... why would you take magazines on a Plane? ((magazines for guns...)) seriously if its because you are trying to ship them, SHIP THEM. Hell I wouldn't even put a decorative blade in my checked lugage now a days let alone ANYTHING that even resembles a real gun mag.... or any other part...

Put them in a plastic bag full of bullets and they'll think it's dog crap.

Just unscrew the bottom, slide the mag plate forwards, push the innards downwards, the fake rounds just fall out and can easily be put back together in a few seconds.

Thanks Mr. Jon, that's probably the best way to go about it. I'll just leave them out for this trip, and I can throw them back in later on.

As for everyother "east coast asshole" who decided to chip in on a subject they obviously have no experience on, it was actually a genuine question looking for a genuine response. I'm planning on attending KS2.5 here and if anybody had thought about it for 3 seconds, they would realize that I have to get gear and guns there somehow. I was looking to see if anybody had sailed these waters before, specifically with airsoft magazines with dummies in them.

Perhaps you few should think a little more before you spit!

Ummm, fucking SHIP THEM? That's what all the wolfpackers were going to do for KS2 last year. Bringing anythign resembling weapons parts onto a plane is a neddy fucking no-no. I don't really want to hear about you on the news.

well, as in http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=6099 its ok to fly with them. Kokanee flew an glock and an AK after calling ahead and filling out some papers.

the real kicker is the fake bullets, but you could always just tape them to a vibrator and say they are a sex toy.

but without question, the safest way is to mail them.

Yeah, shipping the mags is probably best either way. I know the shipment of AEGs through the air is allowed, it's the mags that are seeming to be the problem. Thanks for the help guys.

Totally cool right there. Just imagine the look on a poor security guard's face that you caught unaware. Priceless!

But seriously, dont.

snakes... makes me think of that samuel l jackon line. Im tired of the mother fuckin snakes, on the mother fuckin plane...anyways, yeah just ship them. AEGS, mags, whatever. Have it all shipped, it costs like 30 bucks to ship an AEG. But is that 30 bucks no worth having no hassle, or not worrying about paperwork and all that jazz.

Even better, this March I brought my M4/M203 out west with me, and no problems. Westjet was a little more picky than AirCanada, they were not experienced in dealing w/ firearms at all ie, not knowing what forms to fill out etc, luckily I always bring my forms from my last trip with me!

Surprisingly, my bag of .25's in a 2l canteen caused the biggest holdup, as the xray tech was concerned they looked like ballbearings (ie, bomb) and I had to dig them up from the bottom of my barrack box.

But yes, the mail is a great way if you already have enough luggage to deal with.

Duffamn, please don't knock it if you obviously havn't tried it? This was my third inter-province flight with airsoft and no problems.
