Ordering Guns waiting period

I'm not really sure where this topic fits into what section so i though the general sections might be best (if this thread even makes sense)

I recently ordered an TM AUG from a local retailer (unnamed) and I have been waiting almost a full month for my gun which has not come in yet. The local dealer has notified me that all TM AUGS are currently out of stock in Japan and has to been made to order....hence the long waiting period. Questions:

1) Can this be possible? All TM AUGS gone from the face of the earth.
2) What are the usual waiting periods for guns at any dealer (local or online). Wouldn't be the max two weeks?

not all of them are gone from the face of the earth but if he orders from say redwolf and they are out of stock then you will have to wait. also there are unforeseen waits if his shipment gets held up at customs. many factors come in to play, if you bought from a retailer at the top of the page and it hasnít came in yet just sit back and wait it will come. also keep in mine he did say you would have to wait and tm may take a while befor the do a production run for your gun.

Pyle is correct, there are many factors that could slow down the arrival of inventory - even importing airsoft legally can be difficult. That said, I'm not too keen on ordering guns that aren't already in stock from a retailer, unless it's a big well known operation.

However, AUGs are definitely not of stock in Japan, we have a few incoming in our next TM shipment. Assuming none of the aforementioned problems occur, of course.

Be patient. I ordered a gun from a Canadian retailer in january, a G&G GR25. I'm still waiting for the retailer to get it in stock.

If you order an out of stock item... the wait is the wait.. it takes as long as it takes.

Retailer says.. well I don't have any of those right now... you say.. I don't care, order me one I will wait.

Retailer says ok, and takes your money... and says I will let you know when it is in...

I have waited 8 weeks before... but I was in no hurry.

speculating on how long it will take to get something?... why not ask the guy you ordered it from?

It's really simple in regards to ordering airsoft in Canada;

Money=speed

The more money, the quicker you will have your goods. There is a premium placed on in stock items, but if you don't mind waiting you will get goods cheaper. It all depends on whether your time is more valuable or your money. Since you seem to be a "time' person, I suggest shelling out the money for an instock gun next time.
