Pistols for indoor

Hi, I'm looking for a pistol, i play both indoor and outdoor. I am leaning towards getting a revolver but I feel it will shoot way to fast to play indoor. Any suggestions, ideas, or personal experiences let me know.

Thanks

Why is it that every single new person to airsoft wants a revolver and a sniper?

Any gas pistol can work indoor and outdoor. The question is if you want to be effective or look bad ass but useless. A revolver may look cool, but you're effectively useless.

I would suggest ANY other single or doublestack magazine loaded pistol. Literally almost any other choice will make you more effective then a revolver.

revolver lol......
6 some shots aaaannnndddd it's gone..it's really ineffective
also most revolver is not CQC rated as in its almost 400 fps without mod..unless somehow a indoor field is okay with 400fps....I think usually CQC is best to use green gas because Co2 tend to shoot very hot..but it really vary from guns :/

Any pistol that holds 20 some rounds are fine with a couple of magazines like 3 is good enough usually. Also choose one that fits your hand. Personally I like glock, because it's small and it fits my hand great, however I messed up and ordered a m9 when I started..so oh well..

2 guns i have used
the sw40f has a weird design where it's safety is on the bottom of the handle...I don't like it...
m9 is a full sized pistol, which is also a pretty good choice. I currently use this and I really don't have any complains..

So it really comes down to sizing, ergonomics, and gas type (brand if u really care)

First thing to learn in airsoft; this isn't Call Of Duty. Weapons are not as precise, won't upgrade your Prestige level and doesn't reload just by pressing the R key.

A revolver is for cowboy roleplay IMO and is pretty useless in a game where most people tend to use modern pistols.

Any pistols works out indoors; just choose what fits you best and the upgrade availability and quality in the end.

As others said before. Speed loading a revolver is incredibly hard. As was said before, 6 shots and you're done. The only use for a revolver is to be flashy, play a helpless NPC, or as a last resort backup when you know your primary is VERY reliable and you are unlikely to ever use it (because, you know, a revolver looks good in a holster).

Try a couple of pistols and find one that fits your hand nicely. Then come back here and thank everyone for having warned you. Also, pistols are not like AEGs. Buying a cheap one is a bad idea, find a model that has a lot of spare parts available. 1911s, Glocks and Sigs are great.

As others have stated, completely ditch the revolver idea. While you are fumbling to reload 6 more shells, the other person has already flanked you and emptied their magazine into you haha. Revolvers are just plain impractical, save yourself the frustration and grab one of the many modern pistols that are available!

Thanks guys. Lots of good information. I'll stick away from revolvers, I was also looking at a 1911. Thats probably a better choice.

most revolvers do not have hop up units so the BB will take a dive after 30ft

Ideally, get something with a double stack mag. The single stack mags don't hold nearly enough gas.
P226, USP series, beretta, hicapa etc

Depends, a stock plastic TM 1911 can shoot almost two mags on one gas fill. It really depends on which 1911 you are talking about.

And how fast you're shooting.
And what the temperature is.

Yup, the kjw/socom gear 1911's can run 2 mags of bb's on 1 co2 cartridge

smaller gas capacity is smaller gas capacity.
It really doesn't matter that my usp compact can fire 90 rounds per gas fill in 21 degree temperature, but it sure does matter when it's 10 degrees out.

Meh, my full plastic TM 1911 can shoot a full mag at 10°C too... not too fast, but it can. And since here its mostly real-cap (7-8 rounds) or a fixed 15 rounds capacity for pistols, its hardly ever a problem, even at 5°C. Although, it must be said that a full metal 1911 might not be able to do it if it wasn't touched my Illusion's magic and a heavy pot-metal slide 1911 will definitely not be able to do it.
