Well one of the guys just agreed to buy a new in box CYMA MP5S so as much as I advised them to look at the list you've helped me compile there will be some gearbox opening anyhow.

Still this is handy resource to have!

Or you can save time and money, set your gun to CQB safe FPS and use it outdoors as is. You don't really need the extra power outdoor, it will not increase range significantly and for brush penetration you can just use heavier BBs. I've been playing for years with a Cyma AK set at 330 fps (with 0.20g BBs), and with .28g BBs it has a range of 200 feet and shoots through brush just fine.
Keep quiet. Sound travels faster than BBs.

Stuff like APS and Ares M4s and Amoebas have quick change gearboxes, but the bodies are built so that you can't access the spring guide until you strip the gun down to the gearbox anyway....
I'm confused... the KWA ERG is an M4, it's the electronic recoil gun. Taking off the rear buffer tube is simple (doesn't use a screw on the inside but the nut like a RS gun) the, then the spring, recoil weight and recoil spring all come out together. No need to open the receiver or the gear box.
