just so you guys know i DO NOT work for canadian airsoft nor do i have any affiliation with them other than being a loyal customer. i help them out with repair/custom work when i have the time, but he pays for it. back to the subject of utg, you won't see it from anyone in canada for really any less (maybe 20 bucks or something but so what), not to mention it's nearly impossible to get. the u.s. market is eating these things up and there are few left for anyone else. as far as price differences, i guess it all depends on your supplier. when you're the biggest ics dealer in canada you will have the best price on them. but this is off topic. i don't care myself about 20-30 bucks on a $500 purchase because i can by it locally, but i guess maybe we're spoiled because we can fondled 20 different aeg's whenever we want up here. but you can't make everybody happy all the time.

Well, depot53.com just got the MP5's in stock. Atlanta said thier getting them this week, and it's version 2.0

I can't wait till I get mine.

I can't beleive Canadian sites are selling it for like $250. What a rip off.

HAHAHAHA what a moron!

A timmies says that's getting stopped at the border.

DUDE. YOU'RE A MORON if you tried getting one from the States. Not to mention, you're now on a list of people to "watch".

bean:

I didn't think so either, till I read this line:

There's a fucking reason they're so fucking expensive! They're called IMPORT PERMITS/LICENSES, not to mention, import fees, taxes, and exchange rate. Trust me, most importers are making a hundred a gun, if that.

Hope your 16 year old stupidity lands your parents in JAIL. I'm not sure HOW you did it, as most sites don't ship to minors, but congrats, you're one step closer to never being permitted to doing anything at club fed.

I've got my parents to order it, and then I get it shipped to my friends house in Michigan. I go pick it up, bring it to the border, and declare it, and pay the dutie fees. It's easy. Everyone does it. It's a lot cheaper from ordering from Canada.

as they are seizing your car for importing illegal weapons into canada you can be happy you saved 100 bucks. i can get cocaine across the border too but that doesn't make it legal. if you declare it you're gonna be in deep shit, but you'll be in worse shit if you don't and the find it in a search. customs is very anal about anything that looks like it may possibly be a gun. they will call it a replica and they will (not maybe) seize it and bye-bye money and gun. sure it gets done all the time and customs seizes them all the time. even with a license it isn't always a walk in park.

If you lived where I lived, and understood everything about our customs, you would understand. They don't care about Airsoft. They just ask for the money, and then they let you through. I'm not smuggling it over the border. I'm declaring it. I pay duties, they let me through. What's the big deal?

Let him do it, don't flame him. If he is right, then he is right about the customs in his area. If he is wrong and loses his gun, he learns a lesson. It's not like it will affect the rest of us, whether it gets through or not.

By the way, good luck gillz. Hope it's worth it.

Finally, someone that DOESN'T flame me for that. Thank you very much. Most airsofters here have brought it over the border, declared it, and didn't have a problem. Now they don't even ask question. They just ask for money and then you leave.

god i wish western canada was that easy. b.c. is impossible and alberta slightly better. no license means it's gone. and with 95% or better of airsoft in this country coming from b.c. and alberta retailers it's shocking. and that's without municipal statutes, like the one before city council in edmonton recently. sorry for sounding like i was an asshole, but customs talk out here is a very touchy subject.

Don't worry. I completely understand. When you tell someone over here your bringing an airsoft gun over the border, they don't worry about it. But if you tell someone that in other provinces, they tell you it's going to get seized. I think thats why there isn't a lot of ontario retaillers, mostly because it's easier for guns to be shipped over the border in Ontario.

By anyway, good review. I'll be writing a review once I get mine.

Just cause you can do it, doesn't mean it's legal.

Dude... The importation of an airsoft, if found in court to be a replica firearm, curtails the same penalties as a real firearm, as they are considered prohibited. You're looking at ten years in jail.

All to save what? A hundred bucks?

Show me one case where someone was caught importing airsoft and spent any time in jail. Its not the same laws as importing a real gun, learn about what your talking about before spewing your crap all over this thread!

Infact I would challenge anyone to give me a link where it talks about someone going to prison for importing airsoft.
