Tip to secure pull pin from impact tornado grenade

Hey guys

Recently bought a tornado impact grenade and it's been a blast!!!

however, the pin after pulling often causes me a lot of delay from switching back to my primary because i got no where to put it and as well scared i'll lose the pin. I don't have the slightest clue how to secure the pin to my vest via a paracord or some other wild innovation ideas because the pin has no closed loop.

For those don't know how the pin looks like on an impact grenade imagine a long pin with a loop on the top that doesn't close, kinda like those walking cane but smaller opening.

anyone got an idea or would like to share their current set up to quickly secure the pin to allow faster switching to primary without the chance of losing their valuable pin?

Wrap a small piece of bright duct tape around the loop of it like a little flag. I'm notorious for dropping the pin as I throw, so I brightly coloured it.

The only safe bet I think would be to tuck it into a zippered pocket after.

i usually just wrap the pin around a finger on my off hand... that way i dont have to put them away until things cool down a bit.

but still after engaging, putting the pin into a pouch still runs the chance of the pin to slip out? since most pouches are made for bigger items such as radios or frags, wouldn't the pin just fall out if i do sprint of jump?

Dummy cord the pin to the pouch you carry the grenade in.

Get an arm's length of paracord, gut it, tie one end to the grenade pouch (one of the PALS strips on the back works), tie the other end to the pin, secure it to the pin with duct electrical tape so it doesn't slip off.

I use home made pins. 1/16" welding filler wire and a key ring. I clip it to a caribiner on vest. If I loose it no big deal. Few cents and a minute to make a new one. Ill try & post a pic later when not on phone.

***edit***

these are my home brew pins i use...

the only thing i can think of is to tape the paracord to the pin and attach that to your rig.

or alternatively use a larks head knot around the pin, it should stay on if you pull it tight enough or secure it with tape.

Tape paracord to grenade. Leave 6-10" of cord and tie to pin. Pull pin, toss grenade, go shoot.

i bought a 50' roll of 16GA galvanized steel wire from canadian tire for around $4. with just a pair of wire cutters and a pair of pliers i was able to make about 25 grenade pins in about 15-20 minutes. i still have a shit ton of the wire. now i can focus more on pulling out my grenade and making a good throw rather then making sure my pin is safe...

Everyone in our group has the pin tied to their grenade. As long as you can find your grenade your pin will be there

cetane and gear, those are not impact grenade pins and do not help him at all.

OP, even though it's not a closed loop, some tightly tied paracord would probably work just fine.

All my grenades are impacts and those are what I use. When I first got mine I had the original pins tied to the nade with string and still managed to loose them. Then I made my own. Works good, still could be tied to nade but easy to clip to caribiner in vest and ring is big enough I can put a gloved finger through it and keep playing with it on my finger until I can stow it.

A 10 doller dumo pouch and the OP will also have someplace seccure to toss empty mags too and it will likely make him a more ecfecient shooter not having to struggle sticking empties back into mag pouches.
