got my vest from the Park, had to do a minor mod to make it more durable but it holds 6 single G36 mags w/ tabs intact very tightly and 5 decently, the Tacos are pretty good for single g36 mags too if you buy just a molle vest...or do what i did...4 mags in the m4 pouches, 2 in tacos on molle front

http://www.airsoftpark.com/molle-hyd...al-p-2317.html
natively can hold 12x M4 mags in its 6x double mag pouches
also comes with slot to put hydration pack in the back

My other config is to run 2 mags on 2x tacos on my belt, currently have 6 mags but gonna move that up to 8 next season(running GBBR w/ real caps....6 mid caps is a lot of rounds already)
Also run a dump pouch on my belt and use them only when having to reload under fire, if not I just put it back in my vent as I like to leave one pouch empty to drop an empty in

Double stacking g36 mags will be hard to find a pouch for them, I'm actually thinking of removing all my tabs to make the mags easier to insert and remove. What brand are you running? Any G36 AEG mid caps should be fine anyways and many in country retailers sell them already.

Sorry if someone suggested this already but you could use a magwell adaptor, your current M4 mags and a regular vest ou mag pouch to hold them. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the magwell adapter suggestion but I have been a g36 love for years and their magazine look is one of the reasons I picked them.

I think for the time being I'm going to go with a triple ak pouch on a molle vest.

I am using a magwell adapter on my G36C to allow sharing magazines with my M4A1, and using the mag-pouches for my M4.
I used a UFC adapter on my TM G36C, and there is a feeding issue, which can be solved by either put 0.5mm thick tape "padding" between the gearbox and the hop-up unit, or filing down the air nozzel a little bit.
Not sure if my air nozzel is too long or it is the adapter.

Long time G36 user here.

My vest is a Tactical Tailor two-piece MAV with X-harness, ordered from Dave's Surplus in BC.

My pouches are double M16 mag pouches, also from Tactical Tailor via Dave's Surplus. I carry six 50-round G36 mags on me (one per pouch) for a total of 300 rounds.

I have ZERO issue getting the mags in and out of the double mag pouches. Zero snagging and the pouches maintain their shape (if you store the mags in them) well enough to easily get an empty mag back in. Going to those pouches cut my reload time by more than half.

Now, about mags...

I have yet to use a G36 midcap that didn't suck donky dick. The MAG ones are terrible if you load them up with more than 60-70 rounds and the tabs break really easily. You so much as sneeze on them and they jizz out their load of BB's.

The KA ones are really good quality, but don't actually FIT into any of my G36's (of which I have 3, by 3 different manufactures).

The most flawlwss G36 mags I found (for functionality) are Classic Army 50-round ones. Never had a misfeed with any of them in over 5 years of use.

Second best would be the King Arms 50-round mags (ones with the fake bullets). They fit very tight but are very good quality. They're the only G36 mags I have that still have all their tabs.

Third is the DBoys 50-rounders. They're cheap ($17), look decent, and I haven't had any issue with them yet. They do feel cheaper though and probably won't last as long as the KA and CA mags.

About using your mags clamped together: I've found the drawbacks outweigh the benefits. It looks cool, but you're basically gaining on very quick mag swap and one much longer one (when you have to swap the clamped mags out). When I ran clamped mags I always taped them together. The tabs aren't reliable. Two clamped midcaps is 2/3 of my total ammo capacity, so depending on your loadout and how you play, YMMV.

I've tried two different magwell adapters on 3 different guns and with 3 different brands of M16 mags, and none of them fed reliably enough for gaming.

That, and you can't say the fake bullet mags don't look totally bitchn'

g36 specific pouches are available at ehobbyasia flyye single g36 mag pouch and tactical tailor g36 mag pouch... 20-30-33$ each, you will need 3... which will allow you to carry 6 mags +1 in the gun.

http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/catalogse...g36+pouch&cat=

They are indeed a bit expensive, but if you want to keep the mags, you will have to pay the price. Those pouches are made specifically for the larger g36 mags, and you don't have to compromise with double ak pouches or triple m4 pouches.

Your other option is using magpul g36 pmags, they fit in m14 mag pouches, or very tightly into m4 mag pouches.

I haven't found many G36 mag pouches that don't snag. Went with the M4 pouches because the extra room around the mags was more than enough to clear the tabs.

a good alternative to the bullet mags are magpul pmags for the g36 ( not m4 ones) i have some and they feed flawlessly, and are a tiny bit thinner with no tabs.

i would even go so far as to say they are as good as the classic army bullet mags.

I have this:
http://www.asmc.de/en/Weapons/Airsof...ecktarn-p.html

You can put 2 G36 mags clipped together into each pouch and they will not snag on the way out. Each pouch can fit atleast 4 M4/M16 metal mags.

If you're looking for a place to put your used mags, a dump pouch hanging off your belt is a beautiful thing.

Of course, it starts swinging around, and the mags clank together if you start bouncing.
It is worth looking for pouches that you can put mags back in (either for doing a tactical reload, where you still have a few rounds in your mags, or for just keeping empty mags tight to your body), but it's always good to have a dump pouch to speed up your reloads, since you can't just be dropping your mags on the ground when you don't want to fiddle with getting a mag back in your vest.

I use a dump pouch as a 3rd hand... the empty mags never stay in there long... empty mags get put back in the farthest pouches from the left (I'm a right handed shooter) so full mags keep getting cycled to the left on my walk to respawn.

This even includes tac reloaded mags, if they have a few rounds left, they get cycled ahead of the empty mags, but since I use a p90, I can see the status of the mag in my gun. I've also left the tac reloaded mag in the pouch and empty ones get cycled to right most pouches, this way I know which mag is not a full load.

Thanks for the all the replies guys. kalnaren is that a g36 modified to an sl8? If so did you use a kit to do so and how difficult was the work?
I went on to evike and am thinking of getting this set of gear. It fits within my budget and apparently the triple Ak pouches and fit two g36s if you remove the middle divider. What do you guys think of this setup for a beginner?
1 x ARES / UFC 140 Round Mid-cap Magazine For G36 / MK36 Series Airsoft AEG (Box Set of 5) $50.00
1 x Condor Gen.4 Tactical MOLLE OPS Chest Rig - Black $25.95
1 x Condor MOLLE Triple AR / AK Magazine Pouch - Black $19.00

I've considered a dump pouch, but I have a really slender frame and don't have much available real-estate to put pouches.

That one is actually an ARES SL8, purpose built. I have a STAR SL9 conversion kit kicking around I used to have on my CA G36. It's involved to do the conversion, I wouldn't try it if you don't know your way around the G36. It's not hard per se but quite possible to miss something important. I'm probably going to put it on a G36C eventually.

(STAR conversion kit on my Classic Army G36 with M4 magwell conversion. Never did get it to feed properly)

Also, DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM EVIKE if you're in Canada. Ever. They screw international customers HARD.
