Newbie In Canadian Airsoft

Hi there
I'm 29 years old from Israel and about 7 years in airsoft society.
Started like newbie and now Captan of DesertFox Team and also one of the experienced technicians in my countrey.

Like you can understand that is my first opened topik here in this source.
For a some time from now I'm planning to immigrate to on of the canadian provinces and it's clear to me that this "half of my life" going with me where ever I'll live.

There is some Questions:
Am I need some documents or permission to have the airsoft AEG..

Also how its going to participate with one of the teams in the trainings / games in the future.

Were can I find Team list and their locations according to provinces / locations.

Thanks in advance
Nik.

You don't need documents or permission for an AEG but you may have issues importing ones you have now. Plan to leave them behind.

Bring your gear, your optics, magazines etc.

For games and teams check here.

Can I ask you a serious question? How much sand can you fit in your vagina?

Welcome.

Bring everything but your gun. You may want to look at selling it before you come over. Luckily for you, we have plenty of airsoft guns here, and the sport is on the rise in Canada

It's nice to hear about "rising" because in Israel Airsoft bordered with eligible carrying weapon laws. And it's always many difficult to organize some big games.

By the way, what is the average amount of team members ?

You won't need any documents or licenses or anything to have an airsoft gun. Measures should of course be taken to conceal the AEG (gun case/bag, etc) of course. It is not illegal to own an AEG, but it is not legal to walk down the street with it in your hands.

Most airsoft games are organized by players, who either own their own land, or rent land or paintball fields. There's Games and Events Schedule forum, where hosts advetise their games.

Similarly, there are team forums.

Like everyone said, don't try and import your guns. You can bring everything but the gun itself though. Once you're in Canada, don't try and buy from outside of Canada either - import laws have changed a bit, but it's still not worth the "risk" and additional costs.

It depends on where in Canada you go. Every province is a little different, although that is slowly changing. Airsoft seems to be most prominent in Ontario in the east, and Alberta in the west. I've played airsoft in skatchewan, British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba.

Alberta is better funded, let's put it that way. Even in our small town, there are two large airsoft clubs. The average income here is higher, so you'll see more high end gear/guns. Our team as an example is has about ten team members, and many club members. Our team members currently all run PTWs and mostly real steel military gear. There are also large conglomerates in Alberta such as JOC and EAR. They consist of many large or prominent teams, and hold many "more serious" military simulations. Things that include explosives, vehicles, night vision, etc.

Saskatchewan has some good players and teams but unfortunately airsoft is quite small there by comparison.

Manitoba has a wide variety, but it's either well geared up, or not at all. And airsoft there exists strongly a few areas, but there seems to be a lot of dead spots.

BC has quite a bit of airsoft, but it seems to be ruled by pay weekend type places and badly funded players. There are definitely some solid teams there, but that's not the majority. They definitely have the best terrains to play in, in my opinion though.

I haven't played in the east, so I cannot comment.

These are from my personal assessments and may not be one hundred percent true. They will be close though.

Every place has it's different styles as well.

Yes you have, and there are more Albertans that attend than locals. That's not an exaggeration either. I think you have more attendees from Manitoba as well.
