Pot is a benign drug. Slightly more intoxicating than cigarettes. For some players, it may not be good to get high on the field. Those who know the effects of such a benign drug will have no problems playing the game.

and I'm sure they had more fun then usual.

Alchohol and drugs that really alter your ability to think clearly are a BIG no no. That sorta stuff will end up with you having 1 eye.

but pot? heh... it's almost a joke someone would get worried about someone smoking ganj before a game. It seems not too many of you have much drug experience what so ever.

It can still alter peoples mind, and make there responses slower among other things. Which could pose a safety threat to those that play with that person. Like I said in my other post, this incident occured at a public paintball field. Where the field owner is liable.

potheads don't bother posting, this isn't a debate on if the drug is harmful or not... people would make the same argument for alcohol. The point is, do we want this shit around before or duing a game. Keep focus.

I would say absoloutley not, profoundly alter your mind when you're on your own time.

First off... I'm not a pot head. I don't even smoke weed anymore, but I've had years of experience with it. A daily user will have no problems with motor functions, rationalizing, or focus. This is stricly my point

Alchohol will make you stupid no matter how often you drink.

"profoundly alter your mind".. ha... you people need some experience before your so quick to judge.

Isn't it uncomfortable having your head up your ass?

Maybe you should read some of my posts. This isn't about whether a player can smoke or drink and still have his or her motor skills or focus. This is not about the affects it has on that player, but rather the affect it has on other players and the liabilities of the field owner. On public fields like flag raiders, cops can come by at any time and give shit to the field owner and possibly fine them because of that persons actions.

You seem to have a lot of drug experience.

I've read your other posts.

We impersonifiate (SP) the side of the law and order (terrorist wannabe don't count, but still should have the mentality of the crowd) so wwe should abide to all laws, legal and logical.

At Zone27, no drugs or alcool BEFORE and during is tolerated. We gladly invite people to take a beer around the fire AFTER the game. Anyone caught being intoxicated on the field will be kicked out and probably banned.

The only place I tolerate drugs, it's when they do it at their home, out of sight.

We have a public image to keep shiney. Players using drugs or alcool just is not the image we should project.

I just left a big party because I saw too much people using drugs. Not even hiding it. Im just sick of it. It's a lack of respect for those that don't consume it, because if we don't bitch about it, it's like we aproove. I don't want to be part of a group that is high on something.

Smoking weed unsafe? Chances are all that will happen is the guy will forget to flip his safety off during play :smack: .

The real question is why at a game? People will be offended and their opinion will change of you greatly, one would think the person in question would have known this. I agree that being high at an airsoft game is inappropriate and irresponsible, but let's not call it "dangerous to other players". Anybody with experience in this area will back me up on this, it's more dangerous to have hungover or sleepfucked players than somebody who is high at a game.

*Before I get jumped on by people who haven't read my whole post, my official stance is I disagree with marijuana use during or before airsoft games*

I say it could be dangerous to other players. If this person forgets to flip his safety off during play, will he remember to clear his gun and flip his safety off when he exits the playing field?

Edit: I'm not jumping on you or anything, I agree with you. I am just backing up my previous point.

Or forget to turn the safety ON after play...

PS: I'm not flaming you, just providing a very possible opposite to your statement.

EDIT: GRIM GET OUT OF MY HEAD! GET OOOUT!

EDIT2: GOODRIDDANCE, Why do you always feel the need to argue with everyone in every thread? Yes your right, some people can act normal when smoking weed, but you know what, either way it still might make OTHER people uncomfortable playing with that person... And since pot is still illegal, a pot smoker has no right what-so-ever to argue it.

IMO If you wanna smoke weed, keep it away from the field...

People that take those medication don't belong on the field anyway.

NO DRUGS. no exceptions.

I take valium for my anxiety disorder. Does this mean I'm not allowed on the field? Someone who got 2 hours sleep is more dangerous to other player and themselves on the field than someone who takes benign drugs.

I agree, there can be liability issues with the field owner and the "culprits". So it stands that drugs shouldn't be consumed for that reason before or during matches. However... safety is not an issue.

Steve_187... I dont know why I argue with everyone on these forums. Just the people I guess. If you don't want to see it (drugs), than don't look. Drive away. leave. Its illigal, like you said, and nobody's going to stop players from toking.

If it disgusts you, why are you around it?

Liability issues... keep drugs off the field.
personal issues... keep them to yourself.

When it happens at PUBLIC events it is no longer personal. Regardless of what you say about it being "benign" does not change anything. Drugs, alcohol of any kind have no place at the field. Sure we can argue that 1 drink or 1 joint is not enough to affect us but that is completely not the point.

If you want to get high, then fine, go get high, just don't do it before, during or at any public airsoft game. Is that so hard to understand?
