Noob question about metal bodies...

Do I need a specific m4 body casting for each type of manufacturer?

Bear with me here, I never played airsoft in my life but couple weeks ago I decided to be a part of the sport from now on. So before I play my first game I want to setup my gear. Since I couldn't find information about it in google ill just ask the pros here at airsoftcanada. I currently own a Velocity Arms V4 CQB M, FPS not bad just at the boarder for CQB games. It's very F***ing accurate! I just got it yesterday and I would like to change it with a metal body since the muzzle is heavy its kind of hard to aim because all the wait is at the tip of the gun so I need the metal body to balance it out all the way to the grip. If you need the Full Specs http://torontoairsoft.com/product.php?id_product=14

Once I got all my gear... hoping for FIRST BLOOD!!!

Not really if your gun is TM spec. Generally the VA guns are either Jing gong or King arms rebrand and should fit a new metal body. Now we cannot tell you where to get one. We can only give that information out to an age verified member. But I can tell you that a high quality G&P Body will run you almost as much as your entire gun. Now madbull bodies (and king arms I think) can be had for cheaper maybe 100 less.

A full metal body will likely cost what you paid for the gun.

Unless you buy certain brands that also make metal bodies, most aftermarket bodies will likely require some modification to fit properly. IIRC ICS bodies are proprietary to ICS guns. Most others are designed for specific higher end brands like VFC, TM, G&P, etc and will need some work to fit properly on lower end guns.

Is there any specific reason why G&P body cost that much?

G&P bodies are made out high quality metal and G&P has great finish in they're externals. Combined with high Quality Control means your paying more to get arguably the best metal bodies on the market.

Full metal bodies cost a lot because retailers can't sell them in the open. The legality is in a fuzzy area. This may or may not change in the future. Given the increased risk and decreased supply of these things, prices are quite high.

I wouldn't bother upgrading that gun to a metal body. It'll cost as much or more than you paid for the gun, and prices of actual full metal guns are set to drop this year as it is.

Game it for a bit, when you get tired of it, pass it on to a new team mate, and move on to a (new) full metal AEG.

You're better off keeping that as a backup gun, and buying something like a full metal King Arms M4 for $350.

If you just played your first game a few weeks ago, how do you know your gun is really accurate? O.o

If your only problem is that the gun is heavy up front, just work out. Having a metal body is only going to make the gun heavier lol

Here what I think, the reason why i bought this gun is the fps is already set to get into games no more tuning no more downgrading so i don't have to open the gearbox which i don't know how to. So if i find a good priced and good quality body i'ed still get more from it right? Since I don't want to screw up my gearbox. Plus, from the store I'm buying from the full metals are not that cheap.

What do you think?
