Sorry for your loss.
As it involves loss of airsoft, police will pay more attention to the case. Give the above information to them, keep in touch with them. It may lead to the arrest of the thieves.
I have similar case, and the police finally arrest the guy who was involved in a armed robbery.

So do not give up your hope. Just will be done.

Sheet man that's bad, do you know what's your home insurance view on this stuff?
Hope you get compensated accordingly!

Best of luck to you

Check Craiglist - I know I'll keep an eye open for that kind of stuff for sale

It's personal property, won't matter. It's all covered.

My thoughts actually, but I was mostly wondering about the value they'd consider them to have, it might get tricky to convince them it was worth what it was worth :/

Well if he bought it from a retailer it would be easy enough. If it was built from parts it might be a little more difficult to come up with all the receipts from the stuff you bought, but not impossible.
"Sentimental value" wouldn't factor in though.

This is another reason why I have my guns serial numbers recorded so that if they ever get stolen i can prove that they are mine.

The problem with that is, most guns don't have serial numbers.
If they do, they're usually identical on every gun.

Thanks everyone for your support, this is very appreciated! Really! All your offers are so sweet!!
For info, I reported everything to the police, this is the best I could do.
I don't want my toys being used to forfait bad things.
Ex is right, I will secure like real steel my future things.

Take care everyone,
And thanks again!

Hmmm...that sucks...but!

Are those the only items that were taken?

Important question because generally if you're robbed and the only thing missing is say, your hidden stack of cash, then it had to be someone who knew about it.

Thieves who don't know where, or what to look for, take everything they can and often make a mess. There is the possibility that criminals can stage a crime scene to make it look like a ransack when in fact all they wanted was "X" item, but that will take a savvy detective to figure out.

That said, it sounds like it was some "friends." I'd keep a close ear to the ground. Maybe set 'em up too. Talk loud about some new guns you just bought and stage a camera by an outdoor shed.

edit: They left the broken pistol? That's an important clue. Why did they leave it? Did they already know it was broken and not worth taking? Who knew it was broken?

Also the pants is interesting but it might not be important. It could be the perp didn't take them because they didn't fit, which would give you some bracket of size to work with. However, it could be they just didn't like the pattern...but that seems rather "picky" for a thief who's stealing because he's hungry or having withdraws.

He wrote piston, not pistol. Advice is taken under more consideration if someone can read and write correctly.

Ah.. So true.

Sorry for your loss. I'd say this is someone you showed the kit off too.
