Storeing Gas mags

I always thought that keeping gas in a mag for extended extended periods of time was a bad thing, am i wrong?

opposite.

In fact, I was plagued with leaky mag syndrome untill i discovered that i should always have my mags 100% filled with gas.

People have differing opinions. Personally I wouldn't advise storing them completely full since temperature changes could stress the seals. On the other hand you should definitely keep alittle gas in them to keep the seals lubricated. I usually keep enough gas in mine for 2 or 3 shots and that keeps them in fine shape. Really the only time you want a gas mag completely empty is when shipping them, since the pressure changes at altitude can cause damage otherwise.

I keep mine stored with some gas in them to keep pressure on the valves and prevents the seals from drying out. The only time i had problems with all my mags leaking was when i left them in storage for a few months (moving) and had forgot to put gas in them. They leaked, but soaking the o-rings in silicone oil fixed the problem. Store with some gas to be on the safe side.
