Can you clear this thing for me please?

Before I start: I am underage, I know how you guys see underage people playing airsoft and posting newbie questions.

Oh and I do have my flame-proof suit on ^^

And now for a little introduction that could maybe clear some question you may have about my situation, that could maybe help you answer me better.

I have 15, in some months 16. I know there's like 99% of the fields that won't allow me to play. I already have a field. And no, it's not a public field, it's mostly Paintball fields or fields that aren't accessible by a non-player.

Also, I won't cheap out on safety gear! I know the dangers of airsoft, I already have a fullface JT airsoft mask and a JT Paintball Mask(The one with yellow tint that is sold at Canadian tire, if I can find them xD) not sure about the resistance... If someone knows if it support great airsoft impacts? I may buy ballistic goggles with a lower face protector ^^
And my father is really nice with that, if I don't put on face protection when shooting or near someone who shoots a gun/replica or didn't empty the mag AND the chamber, I lose my right to use it! I understand the reason too ^^ Talking of him, I got him trying my crappy S&W M4505 from CyberGun I would like to share a new passion with him, airsofting =)

A little shooting background for me, I tried a airgun on a a 25m(I think it's 25, maybe 20?) shooting range(okay for cadets at a school gym) and did all bulls eye.(I know, that's not hard, but for my first time shooting something other than a nerf gun, that's not bad?) And I shot my M4505 in my indoor range(read, a bedroom xD) of like 10m, always closed the doors of my room, put on my goggles and warned my family! And also outdoor, in a forest(we can't see the forest from the street, and I didn't shoot while facing the street. If those two failed, my gun wasn't painted at that time ^^) That's pretty much all my shooting board...

I have read pretty much all the stickies, if the answer of my question was in a sticky, well... I forgot the answer, or it was for a trolling young boy who think they can import guns from a US seller... I did a little search, but I did not really know what to search for, so I searched for "parent" xD Okay it took me to thread where some people were flaming non-av'ed underage people XD

Finally, my question!
I know that there's sellers that doesn't require me to be AV'ed on Airsoft Canada, or my father in this case, only a proof of age. Or sites like 007airsoft where you can buy clear lower without being AV'ed.
My question is, can my father be AV'ed to buy me an airsoft replica(notice that I used the right term!) in the classifieds?
He would be supervising me while using it, and also I wouldn't use it outside fields, or it would be a wall hanger without any airsoft bb's in it!(And with no battery)

Also, my budget is like 600$, for replica and safety gear. (I thought I could buy an APS AKS-74N, but there's only bad reviews in this site, and on other sites, reviews are good, like a good starter gun, but look out for green internals and overpowered spring! If my father get AV'ed, I could buy a CYMA)

Sorry for the brick of text I did, but I did not wanted to sound like a troll, so I wrote all I could to show you that I'm serious about airsoft, I have been chairsofting for like 2 years!

Getting a family member that doesn't get involved himself is considored circumventing the AV system. It defeats the purpose of the system entirely if we let that fly by. Think about it.

Clear guns are available, just make do with that until you're of age. Hell, are you even old enough to participate in games local to you? Thats more important than owning the gun. Unless you're fine with staring at your newly aquired gun for two years until you're finally able.

Get the gear, get all the misc things. But hold off on buying the gun until you're of age and ready to play in games, and not in your back yard with freinds. Airsoft guns evolve quickly over a years period, and what we have in selection now will only be much, much more in the future.

Hmm I couldn't answer with my account... So I created another account -_- Sorry, wasn't wanting to create two accounts but to answer I needed to =|

So. I already seen here, a guy that bought a replica from a seller that is on this forum and his father was with him. He was 16 if I remember well. I understand that! I just asked that since my situation is different from a troll that want to buy a replica to play in his backyard and his parents to think that's only a toy!

Hmm well, the gun I would buy is full metal... And yeah, you did not read the whole post hm? I won't be mad, but like I said, I will play with a group of people, on a paintball field! The minimal age is 15 y.o. And I know about owning a replica without being able to play it.

I know that, I waited 2 years already!

Airsoft guns are not replicas.

You cannot get your father AV'd for you that is circumventing the system and not allowed.

This community enforces an 18+ policy (hence the AV) you have to wait.
that being said there have been some exceptions made where 16 year olds who have been active on the forums or local community and has a PARENT OR SIBLING that attends the game WITH them not drop off and leave, has been allowed to play.

and oh noes you waited 2 years! now you'll have to wait 2 more! there have been members on this site since age 14 and have waited to get av'd while remaining active.

Well... They are not gun under 400FPS =| And they are replica firearms according to the law and in many international communities they say "say airsoft replica not gun" so yeah... that's why I called it replica, forgive me then.

If he plays with me? Wasn't it 18+ to buy an airsoft?

I know. I read that many times
That's what I plan to do. And I have fields where I can play.

Hmm I understand this fact, I am able to wait, but if I could get hold of a nice TM or less pricey CYMA, why not try to ask?

I'm really into gun culture, airsofting, and would like to help the sport, not helping killing it. That's why I asked the question before doing it without saying it before the AV'ing meeting between my father and the AV'er. I would like to use a RS but it's less practical than a replica. Because, there's less shooting ranges than fields to play airsoft and the fact that a RS is way more deadly than a aeg.

Our house, our rules. The AV system is a community based initiative, don't try to argue it. You'll only get yourself burnt in the eyes of most of the people here.

Another way of seeing it is going on a car forum and try to argue your way into a driver's licence at 14. Not going to work.

Contact game organizers in your region, politely request to observe, if you demonstrate a proper attitude some might let you in.

You'll have better traction if a parent plays. The operational word here is play. Not drop you off to the game, not hang around while the game runs, but actually grab a gun and play.

Also, you can be sure 007 is going to ask for ID, clear or not.

EDIT: Don't think you are the first kid to think of sending a parent for AV, the are countermeasures in the system to guard against that. Don't ask.

If you really want a gun right now, just buy one from a retailer based in Canada, there are like 5 of them who sell full metal/black guns...

I don't try to get it down, but I have seen someone doing it before =| Or did I dream? xD

LoL You are right ^^

=| Did anyone here just read the part where I've got people to play with? That's a community, with underage and major people. Some have pricey guns, even some underages that you can only buy being AV

I know that, that's the reason of my question!

That's common sense! But here again, it won't be me that will buy it. But a parent!

I'm not asking about countermeasures, and since I'm not a know-it-all or a super high IQ dude, I'm sure a lot of people done that before! And I'm sure some even did it successfully! But I won't try to cheat the system. I'll buy a gun otherway like used one. If I see an underage selling his branded airsoft aeg(like a metal receiver CA/TM/Etc.) , did his parents got AV'ed? Just asking ^^

EDIT: hugo, I know, that's what I will do I think ^^

I'm going to say this once, so open your ears and hear it now. One underage or otherwise non-AV'd member telling another one how to go around our rules...you get ONE chance to straighten your shit out or I'll fucking ban the both of you forever.

You're not AV'd, you don't get a gun or advice on acquiring them through ASC. Full stop, not open for discussion. Question it, or fight the system at your peril because I'll toss your asses to the wolves and declare open season on you both.

Oh, I'm glad you "cleared it up". Who are you? Another non AV'd user.

I have ZERO TOLERANCE for this type of discussion.

EDIT - Not saying you're wrong or can't clear it up. Just that the system is in place for a reason.

J'essaie de saisir le sens de ta phrase, je devine que tu lui as suggéré de passer par un parent pour faire l'aquisition d'un AEG?

It's a nice thing to be informed. The safety, how much everything costs, the rules, etc.

Like you know, knowing that smoking is bad for your health, how many packs you end up buying monthly, weekly, daily, that you can't smoke indoors, etc.

but some things are 18+ for a reason, and if somebody gets caught circumventing the system for you, well it's as bad for them

catch my drift? We don't buy cigs to minors here and we don't let parents do it either.
