After owning a full metal airsoft gun it makes using a plastic one feel like trying to have sex with a limp dick...

Go full metal
Go full boner

The one piece barrel helps but the wobble is actually attributed to the front end of the receiver. The issue pretty much does not exist with CA considering they use metal bodies out of the factory...except the sport line and yes those do wobble a little and over time that wobble with grow.

why is plastic even an option when you can go full metal? Everyone has their own reason for liking full metal guns, and until you play with one, you won't understand. Once you go full metal, it's hard to go back to plastic (unless the RS is plastic).

Thanks for everybody's feedback. It was just the extra little push I needed to firm up my desire to get a full metal gun. Now comes the hard part.... which one. I've decided that it should have the following:
1. M4 (not the CQB version) or HK416
2. RIS or SIR rails
3. battery inside an extendable stock
4. Easy to swap spring would be very nice

So far, I've found the following guns available from Canadian dealers (007 Airsoft, Buy Airsoft, Mach 1 and Halifax Airsoft Wholesale):
(I've also attached a PDF showing a list of spec's that I found for each of the guns)

The listed fps are based on a 0.2 g BB. The price includes battery (9.6 v 1400 or 1600 mAH) except otherwise stated.

When purchasing the gun, I would get the dealer to swap out the spring for a M120 - to get it close to 400 fps (for outdoor games). For the ICS gun, I'd also get a spare M100 spring to allow for indoor games.

Availability wise, the SRC (007 Airsoft) G&G (Buy Airsoft)and ICS (Mach1) guns are available. The Classic Army weapons (Halifax Airsoft Wholesale) are not available.

What are your thoughts about which gun I should get. Right now I'm leaning towards the ICS-128 mainly because of its split gear box (making it easy to swap springs for indoor or outdoor games).

Thanks,

Hope it helps.

First off, their plastic. Ive seen a few people snap the body's. About two weeks ago i saw a guy with an SRC M4 crack his body on the front pin ruining the body, with smaller cracks at the rear pin. How it cracked, he claims he had no idea as he did not bump or hit anything with the gun.

I witnessed a player standing there holding his TM M4 casually and if by some act of god the rear receiver tabs disintegrated and the AEG was suddenly only held together by the front pin.He was not swinging it around or putting anything that would even be remotely considered force on the front end.

Did I just see a non-AV noob shopping list?

Does this warrant a thread move to the Restricted area?

2 pages and no one's said this?

RESALE VALUE.

No one wants to buy used clear shit. Everyone that realizes they wasted their money buying a clear gun wants to get rid of it.

And there's a list of retailers.

Its not like its some massive secret. Those websites can be found with the smallest amount of effort and a search engine. Those respective retailers have their own purchasing policies in place. Its not the end of the world.
