Question Swiss Arms SIG 552 Commando "Is it good?"

Hello all. I am Cody and I'm new to airsoft and can't wait to get into action. I have recently purchased a Swiss Arms SIG 552 Commando for $140 second hand, works just fine, came with goggles, 2 Hi-cap mags, and plenty of BB's.
Yeah I know Hi cap sucks but hey. So please if you hate this gun don't post because of it. I want some good decent reliable information on it please. Like whats the cons and pros, Yes. I know what the FPS is around I think. It says 425FPS But i think its around 350

Well you see, I live in a small province, theres NO airsoft stores here what so ever. I dont have a bank card or paypal. So buying things off the internet is something I can't do, especially with the prices. I got my gun for $100 off from the internet prices.

As long as you made sure it worked before you committed to the purchase you wont be totally boned. Its not like the gun is total absolute crap. Not the greatest quality but well definitely not the worst out there. In fact I believe it may even be a rebranded Jing Gong brand gun. JG brand guns are not terrible, on my personal quality scale they sit somewhere at or just below the average line. If it was well taken care of by the previous owner all you probably need to do is give it a once over basic maintenance.

The sig 552 uses a standard V3 mechbox. Its nothing special. It should be a clone of the Tokyo Marui made model so parts should be interchangeable. So you should be able to use TM magazines as well.

Your request for the users that hate the gun not to post is strange. If someone has owned used and hated this item it would be a good idea for them to share their experience with you instead of leaving you in the dark. I can understand if your comment was direct at those who just hate on the gun without ever having first hand experience though, but dont worry this section of the forum is for constructive answers only. No flaming or asshattery is allowed.

Ah well for future reference, a good idea is to research what your buying so you dont buy some piece of junk. I did a quick search through past threads made here about this gun, and from what I read its a decent starter gun besides the cheap plastic body. Just be careful with it and don't throw it around, and it will do you pretty good.

Actually i think the body seems to be a good grade plastic, almost metal like, and the guy came over to my front door, It shot and I tested it too. Thanks all for your opinions. I wonder what other people will say?Again. Thank you all

It's very low quality plastic. Do not treat it roughly. I snapped the body pin and cracked two plastic bodies with mine. Hop up was amazing though, I had great accuracy

If it is a rebranded JG as stated by tokyo and hasen't been abused then it is agood entry level gun. A friend used to own 1 (JG SIG) and it performed quite well with extended use. It will be easily upgraded if you choose to. Remember that weapon maintenance is the most important thing you can do to keep it running trouble free. Dont be rough with it as plastic can breeak easily and remember to clean and lube it often.

check out this video on weapon maintenance.

It sounds like you took the time to check it b4 you bought it but next time you buy a gun I would recomend that you get age verrified and do some research. This will give you more options to chose from. It is very easy to get a bank card, but the fact you don't have one leads me to belive you are under 18 and shouldn't own airsoft. We need to play buy the rules so everyone can continue to enjoy airsoft.

Yeah, it's a right bugger to find anything here. Where'd you get it? I'm assuming you're out around St. John's somewhere, since there's nothing in terms of places to get gear and guns between the "City" and Montreal, from what I know.

NOW WAIT JUST A MINUTE. JUST because I'm not 18 does not mean I am irresponsible with Airsoft guns. I'm 16 years old and I'm not a dumb ass when it comes to handling these.
