Is SRC good?

Since I'm still a "n00b" here in Canada, and haven't had much experience with this manufacturer, is SRC a good company?

SRC are definitely better than what they used to be. In the recent years they have made considerable changes to their quality control and quality of parts used.

For their cost they are fair but like all things in airsoft the money can be better saved and put towards something better.

In the future please make note to use an appropriate thread title as per the rules for this section of the forum.

Sorry, and thank you. I have a JG M4A1, and I dont really like it. Since winter is coming up, and I just started a new job, I'll have more money on my hands for airsoft and what not

the SRC ak47 is awesome, I saw it on the wall at capital airsoft's showroom and mistook it for a Real sword, you have to hold it up to your face to see the tint, plus with it's stronger Ver3 gearbox it'll handle winter slightly better than other aeg's.

This is good indeed, I've had my eye on the SRC HK416 for the last week and a half or so, and it's look very nice. Ive heard that the V3 comes with a 6.05 tightbore barrel, a RIS kit, a high torque motor, a M120 spring ( a little high in my opinion ), and lots of other internals that are reinforced with aluminum (i.e. the piston head, spring guide, cylinder+head; also heard that there are high temperature wires, which means good for lipos right?

Only the GEN 3. Internally and Externally are great. AK, M4 and G36 are TM compatible...

With having a Tightbore you should note that it's not the "tightness" of the bore but rather the "consistency" of it's straightness. Tightness does play a factor but less than it being consistently straight.

Take these two examples.

Which do you think will shoot a BB out more "accurately" (lets say out to 120 feet before it starts to fly in every which direction). A 6.07 mm barrel that's perfectly straight or a 6.04 mm barrel that might have a few very minute kinks in the barrel.

However SRC gen 3 is definitely where it's at. It's basically like the QC improvements that CA made from their original guns like 5 years ago. Where people would buy a CA with no intention of keeping the internals (like toss out the internals and keep the externals and drop in a TM gearbox).

I recently got me an SRC RPK; only gamed it once so far, but it rocked... It feels so nice and solid, and even sounds great!

(Ignore the CYMA AKMS.)

One of our local guys uses an SRC M4, and it's really good. He runs it stock with a LiPo too...

I am all for getting an SRC MP-40.

They are also supposed to be making an MP-41 too.

The reviews out of HK for this SRC model were positive even though it's EBB.

But yeah, I saw one in the US for 215$, so that should be about 450$ here right?

i bought a Gen3 SRC HK 416 recently, have only used it twice, but i've been pretty happy with it so far. It's been slammed around a couple times and no breakage, only two things i havent liked, the paint has chipped off really easily, and the nut that holds the outer barrel on the gun rusted after playing on a very humid day. That is probably my own fault for not properly cleaning it after play, just would have been nice in my opinion if they used something more rust resistant or painted it.
