They suck (tend to break easily) and DO NOT WORK WHEN FIRING FULL AUTO!!!!!! (or shooting in single mode really fast)

Don't and instead replace the spring to something more reasonable. I notice you list your location as Calgary, if you're thinking of playing at Trek (only place I can think of that you'd probably need one) then ask first but be prepared for a possible no since the elastic thing that you put in the velocity reducer does break from time to time and using a hot gun like a Kraken (which I believe OOTB is something like 370) is no fun for the person on the other end when you're playing in such tight quarters.

Haha spot on! Yes me and my friends do go to the laser trek, but I was think it would work for him since I saw a guy using one and my friend constantly rents guns since his is overpowered and just so u know that place
only allows semi auto. Also just wonder but how do velocity reducers work? And how would the mount on a gun example the kraken?

14mm ccw threading, screws on the front

the air displacement that a bb creates as it travels down the inner barrel pushes open a plastic membrane in the reducer, the removeable rings can be added or removed to increase/decrease the amount of fps reduction.

As far as I know the reducer threads on like a silencer, but uses a rubber band to add drag to the BB and slow it down.

Negatives of this like stated is that if it does break the rubber band you'd be firing VERY hot for a CQB gun. And secondly it completely nulls the effects of the hop up because it would stop the spinning of the BB.

For the cost of one, just get a spring swap and save the worry.

EDIT- I type too slow, Pusangani answered it..

Alright I see, well I remember seeing one at 007 airsoft for $30 so if it actually works then it would be a good buy...how much would it cost to get a new spring say for 300-320fps?

Not very much at all.

A spring like this is relatively inexpensive and decent quality.

If you are mechanically inclined you can find a description of how to change the spring online and save yourself the gun smithing cost of the springs installation. However if you are not so good with such things its worth your money to invest in having someone skilled do it for you.

Well I defiantly know I'm mechanically inclined but as for my friend mmmm not so much :P
Anyway would this spring work for a kraken? If yes then I'll point my friend in the direction he needs to go...

Yes this spring would work.

For reference, www.mechbox.com is a nice place to start.
