ICS L85A2 or SRC G36-E

im having a bit of trouble you wonderfull people who help noobs and i would like to ask your advice and this place seemed to be the best spot.

originally i was planning on placing an order for a G36-E for my first big gun but just now a L85A2 has become available to me as well.

both guns are asthetically apealing to me and i wouldnt mind owning either or so im really trying to find their advantages and disadvantages in a hurry as i have 1-2 days max to decide.

im a small guy so the L85 may be alot better for me.

opinions wanted and apreciated

instantly id go for the ics over the src. also the l85 has an m16 length barrel, uses stanmags.

src still good, g36 is great, but short barrel, big mags, hard to get ahold of mags.

i would definatly reccommend the l85, but the 36 is still great

I suggest you to try the L85A2 to see if you like it or not. The L85A2 is a bullpup design. Some people may like it, some people don't.

^^^ wrong about the barrel length

The G36 is one of the longer barreled guns out there. the g36c is the only short barreled one. and the mags arent hard to get a hold of. i used to run one and they were easy to get.

i will be able to hold the ICS L85A2 before i buy it, the same is not true of the G36-E wich is a rather long gun (longest of the g36 series)

I had an l85 and loved the feel of it. They are a bit heavy but your shoulder looks after most of the weight. They just aren't lefty friendly though .

Honestly, for a newbie, I'd go for the G36. It's a lot easier to repair and upgrade and doesn't have a crapload of proprietary parts (if you want to tightbore, you can't put one in the L85).

As much as I love the L85, it is NOT a newbie friendly gun.

I say neither. What I got from your other thread was that you have your gear right?

Well just get a rental (privately usually, just ask around if anyone has a loaner), some BB's and your geat and go out to the field. No use in worrying about this stuff.

Show up in your BDU's, Boots, and Goggles pick up your rental and play for a day (as well get AV'ed). Also bring, lunch/snacks (A HEALTHY lunch not just Doritos and Twinkies) and a 4 litre jug of water (Careful about this, also have a bottle of gatorade handy or premix some gatorade crystals into your water, don't want to be losing all your salts and developing Hyponatremia which can lead to death).

THEN Once you can see the options available to you (after you meet up with an AV rep (MAKE SURE THERE IS ONE ATTENDING THE GAME!), they submit your info and the switch gets flipped and you see your shiny AV tag) pick something you like and get it. You'll probably be kicking yourself in the ass for not waiting and buying a gun when you could have waited for 2 weeks and browsed the classifieds.

Whut?
This is like an airsoft game right... Not survivorman....
I live on candy in games... And go through like maybe a liter of water on a hard day.

It's your decision but it's like going to one bank to get a mortgage. It's a big deal (well maybe not as big of a deal as getting a mortgage but the analogy still stands).

Who knows, maybe that original place is great but you never know if you don't shop around and see everything available to you (or at least a few places that offer stuff, and picking out of those places). It's always advisable to shop around and whats publicly available is only a small portion of whats available in "the deep net" (ie. doing a term paper, are you just going to use google and google scholar or would you use a variety of online journal databases, google, university library repos, public library repos, archives, etc.).

PS: I don't think I could live on candy alone, TBH I get really bad sugar crashes and dehydrated really easily from running around a lot (just in a 10K "fun run" I can probably burn through 1.5L of water easily).
