Where to buy compression spring?

Just wondering is there a local hardware store that carries compression spring? I'm talking 1cm in diameter type. Currently my GBB pistol came with has a really weak recoil spring and there's no aftermarket. I'm unsure on how to measure tension and how is needed.

Do you mean recoil springs? Any airsoft parts retailer will have pistol recoil springs.
What pistol?

If you wish to measure the tension on a spring you could use a spring tension calibrator, however if you are testing a small spring you could just end up wrecking the spring. You can source a tension calibrator online or at some hardware stores.

If no existing aftermarket spring currently exists for your model something from another model maybe a sufficient replacement.

Could you possibly find a spring that could be cut down to size to fit?

Might be worth a shot.

The thing is right now, I don't know what tension it is. I'm tempting right now to order a SP2022 recoil spring for actual sig and cut it down. But buying custom spring might be easier.

Its a shot in the dark but do you perhaps have another GBB from where you could take the recoil spring and see if it fit and functioned?

please measure the ID and OD of the spring, i can tell if there are other springs that will work, right now I have a G17, a hicappa 5.1 and a sig 226 that are all using the exact same springs flawlessley, so maybe this gun will work with hicappa springs too xD

Inner Diameter: 8mm
Outer Diameter:11mm

Pretty sure it will work if its inner diameter is like 10mm.

10mm, sliglty thicker depending on the spring you get, but should not be an issue
