semi-auto spring cycle problem?

The spring resets itself incorrectly... Parts are
prometheus MS100
Modify tappet, nozzle, selector plate, cutoff lever
G&P cylinder and cylinder head, trigger set, anti-reversal
XYT gears and safety switch.
When I had a DBoys spring it worked fine, but that is unusable because it shoots through the outer ring of the bottom of a pop can.
I don't recall having heard of something like this... But then again the only other mechbox I had was a V3, so what do I know...

It mostly seems okay.

What battery are you using?

I am using a 9.6v G&P mini
the spring gets pulled 1.5 cycles every time I pull the trigger, and the vid shows that the piston moves back way further than it is suppose to... Unless I'm being delusional and that's how it actually is suppose to work...

As Illusion has implied, you don't have a problem, unless you start getting 2-shots in semi. If you are super OCD and must have the piston return to the same position after every shot, MAYBE a MOSFET unit like a Trigger Master will do this. But most upgraded mech boxes with a strong battery can cause the piston to get half cocked in semi.

Shelledpants got it on the nose.

Your problem is basically a battery a bit too strong for the setup. A lot of rotational momentum is built up and the sector gear just continues to travel for a bit until the spring finally slows it down. The anti-reversal latch then keeps the piston and sector cocked back to however far it was able to turn.

Keep it down to an 8.4v mini and it won't over-rotate so much or use a smart logic chip with active braking controls to stop the rotation as soon as the shot is fired.

Sorry, I'm just a bit paranoid about it all DX. My G&P mechbox came that way lol, and that's how all the bearings and gears were bent.

Thanks very much for your help! I'll be sure to get 8.4s now

On another note, I hope I don't have OCD....
