Need two metal Airsoft Pistols for film shoot in KW area

Hey,

I'm not sure if anyone in the Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge/Guelph area can help me out or not, but I am shooting a film in September and I need two identical Black Airsoft Glock style pistols as props. They do not need ammo or anything, they are simple going to sit in holsters on a police uniform belt.

I can pay 50 dollars for the three days rental and you will receive a a credit in the film.

If anyone could help me out it would be appreciated... I am over 18 (26) but the only site that sells the type of gun I am looking for is sold out... I have emailed them about when they will be available again, but, I figured I would give this a shot as well...

Thanks,
Brian.

Buy two Cheap Clear plastic airsoft spring powered pistols.

Buy 1 Can Krylon Flat Black Paint

Paint Pistols

Put Pistols in holster

No one will notice, its cheaper and you don't need to try to convince this community to do anything.

Good luck.

as well, if these pistols are never leaving the holsters don't fret too much about what model they are. As long as they are there the general audience of your film will usually assume they are police pistols by default.

Remember what the crew see's and what the audience notice is often very different. When dealing with props you need to factor this though in.

Unless you're shooting high-res.... that changes things.

Even in "high res" or what people actually used to use "film" the avarage audience member does not look at small details like a holstered gun.

Having said this I will give an example whereby a prop was used and noticed. In the film Super Troopers Captian Grady pulls a Crosman Marksman repeater BB pistol from his belt and it is clearly in sight.

Its context. If it had never left his holster no one would have noticed.

Anyway Cheers.

yeah dude, i have worked a few shows and holstered guns are always rubber casts, no trades, no nothing just a solid hunk of rubber, that goes for actors holding ar's as well. so you dont really need metal guns unless your doing closeups of said guns. canadian tire "sof air" and krylon is your best bet, everything else is a wast of time considering that for 40$ you could own two fairly good looking pistols to keep to use in any film you want.
