Painted orange tip removal

I'm getting a nice TM L96-AWS Shipped from the states by custom order from our retailer who specializes into that(won't name him here, as this section is opened to non-AV'd...). Now he told me that those come with an orange tip (its from RedWolf Airsoft), and that the tip is not a plastic tip, its orange paint applied on the end of the barrel.

Now the guy told me that you can use a product to remove that paint easily and without damaging the gun, but he didn't remember what was that product. I am to receive the gun next week, or maybe in two weeks, and he suggested me to ask here for the specific product to use. Do anybody know exactly what I should get?

Thanks.

The product he talked about is not meant to cover the orange tip. its a product that actually removes the orange paint itself, without damaging the barrel or anything.

Brake fluid works for me, but pick your method as you wish. Keep in mind that although the barrel is anodized, it too can be stripped if you go at it too hard or too fast.

Read the safety section carefully.

Stove cleaner works wonders. I put my tip in it over night and it just peeled off, this also goes for stripping spray paint if you don't Wanna strip the original paint

So basically if the brake fluid touches the unpainted (black) part of the barrel, it wont mess up the color of the barrel itself? also should I plug the barrel so that nothing goes inside and touches the inner barrel?

Why not just nail polish remover?

No acetone versions.

I have a better Idea...Get a silencer adaptor and a silencer!

Case closed!

Is it metal or plastic?

Plastic may have discolouration, metal no.

Just don't leave it in 24h and you'll be ok.
