help my mechbox needs some love... lol seriously i need help...

so here i got my aftermath mp5j... clone of the cyma mp5j which is a clone of the tm mp5j lol...
ok so my problem was after an op my trigger was jammed and felt like my safty wasn't disembarking. so when i got home i did some research and the selector switch on most mp5's give problems but when i took my mechbox out just to examine the selector plate i didn't see anything wrong with it. so it had to be internal... so i opened up the mechbox to find a small piece of something jamming the trigger... once i got everything back in place i put it all back together and now it only shoots in fullauto mode weather it's on semi or full...
does anyone have anytips on how to fix this oh yeah and onemore thing the last time i hooked up my battery it just started to fire without me even pulling the trigger so i pulled the battery off right and it started to heat up in my hand (not plugged in) so now i'm waiting on a new battery...

If it's only firing in auto, look up information regarding the cut-off lever. It's what permits your gun to fire in semi.

If your gun is firing without you pulling the trigger, you've probably reassembled the trigger mechs incorrectly.

You might have killed your battery, I suggest holding off any other battery tests for now. Did that gun have a fuse? It doesn't look like it.

you probably blew your fuse, i did that a few times, post a picture of the piece you took out, it might be essential

oh, and all guns have a fuse somewhere, check in the fore grip, it will probably be in there

post a close up pic of the selector plate. If you lost the little spring that pushes on the cut off lever, your gun will lose its semi function.

Also, if you lost the little spring on the switch, the switch will not spring back open, causing the gun to fire when the trigger is not pulled.

2 things to check at least.

Check the tamiya connectors on the battery and mechbox wires. Maybe one of the wire isn't properly inserted in the connector.

if your battery heats up when unplugged, it probably has a short circuit somewhere.do not charge it unless you find the problem.

That appears to be the latch that locks the trigger assy in after cycling once. You'll likely need another one from another box of the same version. That would be your full auto all the time problem right there. I'm not 100% on this but second opinion to confirm? thanks

Not that I'm an expert, but I concur with what Azriel said.

Not a bad guess, eh?

Jugglez (airsoftparts.ca) is out of ver2 cutoff levers, and I just used my last one to fix a guy's JG 416.

You could ask CDN_Stalker if he's got an extra.

Kind of lousy that you have to hunt so hard for a $10 part...Jugglez usually has them.
