Shooters Design Availability

I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I'm not a noob, but more of a lurker. Why is it that I can't find a Shooters Design slide for my new KSC USP Compact? No one has them in stock and no one will commit to any time frame for their availability or whether they're even in production anymore. Anyone have any info on this? WGC, Den, Redwolf, UNCompany....nobody has it....help?

If you were to get age-verified you might find one in the buy/sell section. I've bought slides from the retailers you mentioned but if they don't have them you'll just have to be patient.

I would get age verified, however, I'm a Southern California boy and haven't been to Canada since I lived in Chicago and went fishing for smallmouth bass....I'm considering just buying an additional slide and having it engraved but would much rather have the SD slide.

you live in southern California and your asking Canadians where to get parts? dude it costs us 4x the amount to get anything and have a much harder time getting parts. so maybe we are not the best people to be asking, considering.

however have you tried contacting your local retailers or airsoft shops regarding what you want, have you tried going on a local forum asking the question you are asking us. im not trying to be rude, just frank. its kind of like asking hobo where to go for steak.

no offense taken, i am a californian after all. i appreciate your candor and, yes, i have tried all the aforementioned methods and suggestions and i am going so far as to ask my neighboring countrymen for help. i like to think that i've been patient, they have all been out of stock for quite some time. i'm sorta asking as a last resort for an explanation of the "no-stock" epidemic for this specific slide....hopefully i get lucky enough to find a needle in this haystack....lord knows i'm running out of haystacks.

also, i'm interested in whether the slide is even in production. if it is discontinued, then i'll have to go with the next best thing, pre-owned or make lemonade out of another slide. but, if it is in production, i'll rest easier knowing that i WILL be able to eventually get the particular one i want....thanks.

NT$5000 is 5000 New Taiwan Dollars; it's about $160USD; to be honest, I posted that link as a joke but if you manage to order from there, kudos to you. Also, I'm not Chinese... Google is just a really good friend.

imma have to find someone to translate it for me....preferably someone who can read chinese and speak english....

that sheriff slide is a little more than i wanted to spend....i've never owned a shooters design slide, does the paint wear off on them or are they not painted? if they are painted i might as well just have my current cheap metal slide engraved or CNC'd at a local metal shop....

as a matter of fact, i think that's just what i might do....this is an interesting read for stripping paint and staining your gun to look like a real steel.....http://www.vansgunblue.com/

Most metal airsoft parts are aluminum which is anodized. The anodizing is an acid burning method that dyes the metal which makes it pretty difficult to remove.

Thanks for your help, everyone; it was a very warm welcome for someone who has never posted here before. Thanks, again.

I'm looking for ways to permanently blacken a cheap aluminum slide that I'm going to get engraved with the proper trades....the only thing I've found is Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black Metal Finish but the description says: "The room temperature chemical used by gunsmiths and industry to blacken aluminum parts. Restores scratched and marred areas quickly. Fast-acting liquid is easy-to-apply with no dimensional change. Color will vary from deep gray to black depending on alloy."

I'm curious to know if anyone has tried using this and if it works?
