CA m15a4 upgrade time.

I have a stock CA m15a4 with around 25,000 rounds throught it and it's upgrade time. I'm thinking this:
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=2969

and then this:
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=2991
I just want to run it buy the experts before doing it .
Or should I scrap the reinforced mechbox and put my money into something of more worth such as gears? Also 90% of my shooting is semi-auto.
Thanks for your help.
-Brett

I think CA mechbox is a reinforced one.

Get the upgrade kit. If or when your mechbox breaks, get a reinforced one.

I read some where that a full metal tooth piston will brake at the big first tooth, it being a weak spot.
and a metal nozzle I read that they can dent or mare your bb's and cause inconsistent flight of bb's.

So I dont really know about the tuneup kit you posted but here's what I put in my TM M4 V2 mechbox.

Systema Silent Head Set V2
Modify Enhanced Cylinder (300mm-450mm)you would need a full Cylinder
Modify Bearing Spring Guide - V2
Modify S100 AEG Upgrade Spring
Guarder M4A1 SR16 M16A2 AIR SEAL NOZZLE
GUARDER Enhanced Tappet Plate-V2 witch dose not fit right with the nozzle but still work's.
G&P hopup unit
Guarder Barrel 6.04 (407mm cut to 404mm) you would need a longer barrel.

The rest is still stock TM part's.

Well from what i've heard the piston is actually indestructable. But that imput is well taken. Thank you.
I see a lot of modify in your parts list. I have always been sceptical of them, being they are just echo 1, no? How are your results with these parts, and if they are really good, maybe I could just go with this:
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=4372
Idk though, that's awefully cheap for that much parts.

Thanks abunches for all your help so far.

The M15A4 already has a reinforced mechbox and reinforced gears. The only parts you should consider upgrading are the spring and some compression parts.

I have the M15A4 rifle. It saw about 20000 rounds in stock form before upgrades. Currently, it runs a Systema silent piston / cylinder head set, airseal nozzle (can't remember the brand) and a Systema bearing spring guide. It's being pushed by a Prometheus MS110SP spring and shoots 385 with .2g BBs. I should add I also have a 6.03mm tightbore

On a side note, I had also upgraded the piston with a Systema polycarb, and a Systema tappet plate. The Systema piston imploded after about 250 rounds, and the tappet plate after about 500 rounds. I've since reinstalled the stock piston and tappet plate, and have put an easy 10000 rounds through it since without issue.

As for JBU - you'd be doing yourself a real disservice replacing good quality CA parts with cheapo chinese bargain bin parts. If you're going to upgrade internals, get good aftermarket stuff like Guarder, Modify or Systema (as well as other big name brands). Don't cheap out, because you'll be replacing parts again real soon.

So do you think that maybe I would be better off with this:
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...roducts_id=398
and an m120 or m110 (i'm not a gamer so no FPS limit)?
That's one of the first thing that popped into my head with I wanted to upgrade.

I cant see the modify Cylinder or Spring Guide failing on me. I dont know about the spring I just instaled the modify part's and yet to put it to the test of time but it seem's it should hold up it's just a spring. But the other upgrade part's worked out nicely.

I only replaced the Cylinder is I had a stock full Cylinder before witch is not good for my barrel lenth other wise I would have stuck with the stock one I had.

You don't need a bore-up cylinder or any of that stuff. The stock cylinder is fine as it is, as are most of the internals. Replace the parts I suggested above, and maybe get a Modify piston and tappet plate too (they seem more durable than Systema). Then throw in a M120 spring or so and you're good to go. That and a tightbore barrel should put you in the 410-420 fps range. If you really want more velocity, then an M130 spring should work.

And if you're going to go that high, also consider getting a sorbo pad to absorb the shock of the piston slamming into the cylinder head. It will increase the lifespan of your mechbox.

I think i might go with the m130 being i'm a plinker not a gamer. And if i go that high i will definintly consider the sorbo pad.
So how does this sound?
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...roducts_id=770
then...
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=3423
and
http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1023
and then go from there.
Sound good?

I dont think Sorbo Pad's will fit on a Systema Silent Head Set cylinder head do to it being defernt then the commen stock cylinder head's we all love and know. Me myself I would not go any higher then a m120 spring going higher then that your going to run in to having to do more upgradeing of part's to handle the heaver spring.

I think you can go for this set up. But Im far from a expert on this stuff.
