Classic Army AEG Specifications

Specifications of Classic Army AEGs...

Trying to find complete information on these...but not successful...

Website references give inconsistent specifications (i.e. FPS, range, accuracy, metal/non-metal parts, weight, inner barrel diameters, etc)...for every CA guns...

Need to decide before buying one soon...

Anyone help??

FPS: 300~340

Range: 150Feet or so~ with good hop up adjust

Accuracy/Barrel: 6.08mm Barrel Diameter. For accuracy, just look at the barrel length.

Metal/non metal: Most CA stuff are Full metal... I think.

I tried some out last day and they are pretty good.

I recommend them over a TM any time. Much more realistic. But remember some of their internals suck badly. I had to change the piston head on mine ASAP.

Despite the rampant "full metal or it's crap" fanboyism appearing in this thread, every single gun I have repaired for someone this summer (5, 1 more waiting on parts) has been Classic Army. Most issues were gearbox related - mostly seized/collapsed bearings, stripped gears and/or pistons, or bunked motors. There wasn't a single repair that cost less than $75, and that was parts only - I didn't charge for my labour.

I guess you can spend more to get a full metal gun that looks great hanging on the wall, because in my experience that's pretty much what CA is good for in the long run.

the only company you can trust to have all their guns shoot consistently stock is TM. I've seen CA's shoot anywhere from 250-330 out of the box. Don't even get me started with G&G.
I can't pick the gun for you but I'll tell you what I tell everyone else:
buy a TM, it's cheap, effective, it'll last a long time.
when you want to upgrade to a metal body, sell your TM, buy a new gun, preferably that takes the same mags, Classic army is a good choice. Then replace the internal parts known to fail (bushings, tappet plate, piston) and your pretty well good to go.

Heard the same things for TM, but it just gets swept under the rug.

All CA's I've owned (3-4 I think) were all far better than any TM.

If you buy one, you get a booklet with everything they have in their line-up with specifications.

All CA's are metal though. They've never made a plastic AEG I don't believe.

My biggest issue with the plastic body on my TM armalite was the color which didn't match with the rest of the gun. It also looked really pale under sunlight.

A can of flat black paint took care of that.

Many thanks for your professional suggestions and advices...

I have been wanting to get a CA gun (M4 carbine with RIS or just CQC/CQB model)...I have a TM M4A1 that I like a lot for its consistency...but it has its downsides...and I'm not good with upgrading...

This is why I want to ask opinions from those who own CA guns...your experience with them are extremely valuable...

It's just too bad that I don't have the budget for a Systema gun...or else I would rather get that so I wouldn't worry about any specification...

Is G&G as bad too? G&P?

Grab a CA, get the internals replace. They are awesome guns. TM exterior is horrible even their metal RIS handguard looks bad compare to CA.

G&G is bleah and G&P require work also. I read somewhere here that G&P is for the pro's since internals are stripped and replaced.

Just grab a CA of your choice and change the internals. If your's already come with metal bushing then thats good, change the bucking and piston head.

Honestly I didn't know you could make a gun out of "glass fiber"

Having owned both the CA36 and the TM36, I can honestly say that CA can call it whatever they want and I'll still buy their version instead of the TM's. Hell, the only reason I own a TM36 right now is because I couldn't find a CA36C when I needed to. CA36's body feels so much nicer than TM36's.

SUCK very badly.

Here, we are having nothing but problems with CA.

All of our CA M4 series guns have had to be torn apart, seconds after being taken out of the box. All the guns shot under 230fps out of the box. Some 2 that I chronod, shot 150-180 fps...

If you have the money to change out some of the internals, then I say its a good gun. Spring, hop-up unit, and piston head.

I gutted my entire gun and replaced everything, and so far its my favorite gun , reliable, accurate, and hard hitting.

That doesn't say much about the original gun, does it?
