Batteries & Chargers

My M4 is on the way, but I want to get all my accessories before it gets here. The only thing i'm lacking is a reliable battery charger and a few decent RIS mounted batteries in a PEQ box.

I'll be buying from eHobby on ebay...i've noticed how the Canadian retail market for items such as this are quite pricey.

Battery Option #1)

King Arms PEQ II RIS Case + SANYO 10.8V 1500mAh Battery
Link

Battery Option #2)

King Arms PEQ II RIS Case w/ SANYO 9.6V 1700mAh Battery
Link

Battery Charger:

TLP EXPRO II Fuzzy Logic Computer NiCD NiMH Bat CHARGER
Link

Does anyone have any personal experience with any of these items? Has anyone ever had something like this seized by customs?

I think I read that the higher the volt, the faster the rate of fire is. Is that true? I'm just looking for a reliable battery without compromising the look. I have a CA M15 A4 RIS, no crane stock or fixed stock, so i'm looking for the PEQ battery box look.

Thanks for the help in advanced....also if there is a better thread on stuff like this (that I more than likely missed) could you post the link? Thanks again.

Buy a pirahna digital peak charger, they're like 60$ and work great.
And higher voltage = higher RoF, also switching from a mini to a large battery raises your RoF.

With a stock gun, you'll more than likely want to stick with the 8.4 or 9.6V setups. The stupid rate of fire the 10.8V will get you could cause havoc to a stock gearbox meaning you'll have to replace parts in pretty short order. That is dependent on the gun you got though. A TM or Jing Gong will come with plastic bushings, and those will probably wear down really quickly. With a 9.6V battery, I killed the bushings and gears in my stock TM M4 in about a week.

I've got a CA M15 A4 RIS in Full Metal on the way. I was gonna go with the 9.6v but then I saw the 10.8v for the same price and thought "what the hell, why not?" but I think i'll stick to the 9.6v battery box.
