SiG 552 Battery Mod

Hi there, I would like to show you all that there is a way to get more battery power in your SiG552!

this battery will fit inside your stock perfectly. However some small modification is needed to to get a hole on the inside part of the stock (exposed end that you can see when you fold the stock over).
I will get some pics of the actual thing in a week or 2, because I'm pretty busy at the moment with other projects...What I will do though, is attempt to draw a rough outline of the SIG stock around the battery to show you all just how it will exactly fit.

Yep I'll get some up soon, my camera is getting fixed right now, so it'll have to wait. The battery I have in there now was rigged to fit, but I'm getting the materials to make a custom battery so it looks a lot nicer. the diagram above was sent in to a local shop to show them what i need.

You do realize you can probably get better "performance" results buy upgrading your connectors, try Deans Plugs, available at any hobby shop that sells r/c shoit. Those Tamiya connectors are really power robbing shitty connectors, and while you are at the hobby shop, if they carry Dean's connectors they probably stock Dean's "wet noodle" wire, available in several gauges such as 16 ga, 14ga and 12 ga. If you don't think that Tamiya connectors are crappy, do a LOT of shooting and feel the connectors, if they are warm, that means you are losing a lot of power in resistance in the connector and not sending it to the gearbox!

Thanks for that! I didn't know this.

I get all my stuff from onlybatterypacks.com and he has dozens of different connectors, but hey, thanks again for the info

Is there a charger with dean connectors on it? Or would I have to wire my own connectors to the charger too?
