Noob Loses a Tooth

At our T.W.A.T. Game on sunday, we had a noob come out and within 5 minutes of his first skirm, he got half of his front tooth shot out.

What a way to start.

I know this has happened to Armyissue. Has it happened to anyone else?

Pictures?

Indoor CQB? Outdoor? Details? Why wasn't he wearing protection, especially if it was indoors?

T.W.A.T. games are usually outdoor @400fps, so I'm pretty sure that's the case here

It happens and it doesn't have anything to do with being a n00b. I personally don't wear a full face shield or mouth guard and I make a very conscious effort to keep my mouth closed. However I've considered a mouth guard for some time. I saw some pics, it's in that "airsoft injuries" collage that I'm sure you've seen.

There's no crying in airsoft!

Tooth gone in the first game? That sucks majorly. Any photos?

We've had 1 dental mishap at TTAC3 ... same thing.. half a front tooth shot out...

The amazing thing is how having a front tooth shoot out transforms the apperance of a person from "inteligent, good looking young man" to "gap toothed yokel" instantly...

Its just a matter of time before it happens again.. as people continue to insist on playing in goggles with no face protection. In CQB with 0 distance engagements allowed... you gotta wonder what people are thinking..

Wow...

Note to self: Always wear the full face mask with your goggles..

He's okay for the most part right?

I think Freedom Fighter lost a couple of teeth while playing way back, not sure if it was his crowns or other teeth.

It was an outdoor game. It was not particularly close range, he is okay and has dental insurance.

Indoor at ttacc I always used to wear full-face. You'd be crazy not to. Same with night games.

No pic sadly. He went to get it fixed right away.

And yeah, it wasn't a noob thing, it was just a big coincidence that he hadnt even fired a shot in his first game and that happens.

Oh Ive been shot a few times in the teeth with AEGs and GBBs, the majority of the AEGs being over 320FPS. I havent had a chip or a break yet, but luck is bound to run out eventually. I really should consider wearing a face mask but I love to show off my bling'in 15 point diamond....ok no not really I dont like showing it off but it sure is a purdy one. I keep my mouth shut as much as possible during fire fights but the majority of the time I do get shot in the mouth is when Im yelling at or mocking the enemy.

I had my tooth shot out just a few weeks ago. I have been playing for years though.

Not a fun feeling at all.

FreedomFighter holds the all time record for bad luck. If he didn't have bad luck, he'd have no luck at all. I recall at deadlands he lost a tooth, and in that same month used a MP5 as a pole vault during CQB, smashing it into 5 separate pieces. Wish I had video of that one, it was funny as hell to watch, as he tripped over his own feet trying to make it to cover while I was firing on him. Aside from the tragedy of the MP5, it was by far the funniest Benny Hill-style wipeout I've ever witnessed in airsoft, and keep in mind I have Claymore as a teammate, so thats saying a lot...

God damn Schwag, that pretty much blows for him. Hope he's alright and decides to give the game another try.

As for not wearing face protection at TTAC...that's bordering on just plain stupid. I finally picked up a semi-auto select AEG (only firing semi is a bit of a trick with an AUG when you get surprised) so I'll finally be able to check out TTAC.
In fact...I'm ugly enough as it is, so I might just start wearing full-face (or a modified one that covers the grill, at least) at outdoor games, too.
