1. barrel lock nut wont fit.. original seen to small for G&P receiver!
2. how do you get the bb feed guide to stay in place.
3. do you have to slide the mech box in to the top of the receiver and then put the bottom on.. if so how do you get the mech box out with out twisting the inside dust cover (piece that pulls back to reveal hop up)

In both my installs, I was using CA's front end kit and the barrel lock nut was fine. Original gun was a TM and an A&K.

1: If its to small, you will need a different one, or something isn't ligned up

2: Yes, slide in the upper, then reatache the lower then reassemble. You can do it the other way but this way I find it is much easier and you minimize the chance of breaking a body tab.

3: Hop up attaches to the barrel with a C Clip.

The mechbox needs to be installed into the bottom half of the receiver. You fit the top part by sliding it in atth efront of the mechbox.

G&P mb kits do not have any body tabs.

You can do it either way, lower first or upper first, no body tabs to worry about, as stated.

I stand corrected, but you can still do it either way.

No, I fix it to the lower receiver first by installing the small mechbox pin and rear locking pin. Then only do I attach the long buffer tube screw and pistol grip screws and all other items.

On my second build with the A&K base gun, the original pistol grip was not the same angle as the TM causing the mechbox to tilt slightly as I was tightening the pistol grip screws. I could not insert the small body pin and rear locking pin.

It's easier for me doing it this way as the mechbox is permanently fixed into position inside the lower receiver.
