Handgun? Why not get a WA 1911. Closest to the real thing you can get.

Guys can argue over real vs. clone, but when my clone-equipped PTW tags a guy at 300+ feet, real makes absolutely no difference. Funny thing is, I've done that to guys with the real EoTech, when their gun fell 100 feet short of me.

The gun means everything. What you put on it means nothing as long as it doesn't intefere with the operation or structural integrity of the gun.

Use a clone if you want. The real one doesn't perform any better on an airsoft gun.
After a long, hard think and discussions with my friends, I've decided I'll get a 512 clone too. It's a shame there's no M500A clone that'll fit though, so I still gotta shell out $350 to get one.

trying to understand why systema is "so good" is impossible.

For me, I had the question as well....

... but as soon as I held a PTW, the fate of my three "standard" armalite AEGs was determined: "sell them - acquire PTW."

You just can't describe it. It must be felt...

Hahaha. Did the PTW's owner make you clean the jizms off his gun? Or did you do it voluntarily ?

I couldn't help but lick it off. It didn't matter if it were mine, his, or a stray dog's...

... all that mattered, was that it was a PTW. Once you grip that barrel in your hand, all you want to do is just keep stroking that shaft...

They do make a 30 round mag for Mil/LE markets and I have seen guys mod those by cutting the internals, gluing them together and stuffing it inside a real VN 20 round mag.

Heh, not to mention the functioning bolt-release, and fully retractable charging handle. OR.. the fact that it's built exactly like (dimension wise) a Real Steel AR...Actually, didn't you (mcguyver) say that it actually seems like it's better finished than your bushmaster (ew) ?

EDIT: There's just tooo much to say about the PTW.. and I don't even own one yet.
The receivers unfortunately are alloy, as a real 7075 T6 aluminum forged receiver would violate Japanese law and we wouldn't fair much better here either. The hop-up cage is also alloy, but that's pretty much it. The charging handle is a real one, but it's fixed when the receivers are closed and is used to remove the cylinder when the receivers are open.

And yeah, the fit and finish is better than my real AR.

Hold a PTW and you're sold. The performance is all gravy.

There is just one problem with that...You can't eat that plated gold KD like you could the regular KD...So what you are saying is that Systema is like TM, except it doesn't do the same job, instead it's just really expensive eye candy.

here's some links for you to read on just what makes the PTW so different, and better:

Illusion has summed it pretty well....words just don't do this thing justice. Once you hold one and shoot it, well, just put everything else you have up for sale, and pull out your credit card.....nothing else compares. you won't need or want anything else.

i own an airsoft store, and thus, pretty much have my pick of anything i want. my personal weapons are typically some of the scariest weapons in our
league. most of them have obscene amounts of money invested in them, with the best of everything. now that i got a PTW, every other gun in my personal arsenal is now up for sale.

if you have the opportunity to ever get a PTW, just do it. sell all your other guns, sell your first-born child, sell your soul. whatever you need to do, you won't regret it.

it is, simply, the best. the uber gun.
