GAAK!! Don't paint it. Get it powder coated in silver, or bead blast it and polish it.

And Romeo Sierra, how you liking the Li-Po? Did you cut the EL-003 board and heatsink, or just keep the stock extended?

It's aluminum i could polish it but it will turn black after a bit... even with clear coat (or so i was told)/

Yeah, it turns dull - depending on other impurities in the metal, the oxidation will darken the finish but it won't turn totally black.

You have a MAX, don't you? The MAX barrels and buffer tubes are steel, not aluminum.

Maybe Ebay guy ripped him off?

Even with it being Aluminum, it would polish up nice, take enough time and with a polish wheel on a stand alone grinder you could get some nice shine out of it. And you can get sealers to help keep that shine, personally I don't see the point of this though; Like the reasoning that its a sin to PAINT the PTW for camo, but strip the paint off the gun for shine that gives you away is okay? Hmmmm strange indeedy.

The main thing about PTW is the : "Hey everyone! Look how much my gun is cool with all those real parts on it." Sure it shoot very well, but who care when your gun kill just by how killer it look. The shinyer the better.

I'd still paint it.

Then theres people like me who put airsoft brand parts on it and try to hide the fact that its a PTW, getting really tired of people who just see a PTW and start yelling at me about how I'm a poser, money bags, PTW's aren't worth it, I got ripped off, etc. etc. Sometimes you just show up at a game and once someone asks "is that a PTW?" everyone in ear shot gives you dirty looks and start ripping into you.

I call this the Ronan effect j/k

Oddly enough I really like painted CQBR's and M4's but have never liked painted M16 length armalites. Also painting an Inokatsu M60 is kinda pointless anyway, you're supposed to be seen and heard, then get shot in the back by the M60 gunners friends.
